Not Updated For Current Season
The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
Akali, is a very versatile character often seen as overpowered, but I disagree. She is a very solid champion that has a lot of mobility. She is a rather squishy champion, hence the hp per level runes, and the flat hp quints. The rune choices I have listed are EXCELLENT for Akali to do exactly what she was designed for. She is a champion that gets in, does her dirty work, and gets out. Use her spells wisely. I say this in reference to many FAIL Akali's that waste all three charges of her ultimate when they can also have a fantastic escape mechanism (jumping to a minion when running away). Now onto the other information.
Summoner Spells and Champion Abilities:
Great summoner spell in which aids Akali with her burst. Very effective against lifesteal champions, and for tower diving.
Very effective escape mechanism in addition with stealth.
Mark of the Assassin is a ranged kama toss that inflicts a small amount of damage while leaving a mark that ignites when auto-attacked by Akali after it has been placed(Main nuke).
Akali places a cover of smoke that will slow her enemies when in the zone, as well as stealthing Akali when she's in the zone(Escape/Slowing mechanism).
Akali twirls her kamas in a conal aoe(Extra source of damage).
Akali charges up stacks over time(Maximum 3x stacks). Akali dashes to her selected enemy unit in which deals an average amount of damage(This is Akali's bread and butter ability, use it wisely).
Early Game: Start with a and (interchangeable with an in certain circumstances). It is VERY important that at early game and level one especially, to have her passive active. You need to do the best possible you can at last hitting to achieve money over time, or you will not get fed and most likely end up with a terrible game.
The very second you hit level 6 is when the game becomes your puppet. Try to lane as long as possible, ganking as necessary, and getting fed before returning. The item build is dead on, except for occasions where you are getting ridiculously fed, where it would be wise to buy a earlier than expected. Progress with the game as usual.
Mid Game: The game is still in your hands, and only gets better as the items come in. Use her stealth to get into and out of sticky situations, and as you become better with Akali, your juking skills will make the opposing team type angry messages in all chat.
Late Game: Congrats, you've most likely won the game by now, or are pushing their base hard. One of the most important aspects of Akali is don't be afraid to get in there and tear them to shreds, she hits EXTREMELY hard late game; to the point that you can one shot squishies with a charge, Q, auto attack.
Thanks for taking the time to view my build, happy gaming Akali players.
