This is my Alistar build guide. I build him as AP/tank just for the fact that it works well.

I chose these runes because it does give him a slight edge on defense early game and some magic pen as well. The quintessences were chosen because movement speed is VERY important and Alistar.

These masteries help him become tanky but also a mage.

You never rush lich bane, not enough AP early game to support the passive. i suggest you refrain from doing so, also if you feel you want to be more tanky take out rylais and get banshees. I also put warmogs and hextech gunblade because if you feel you need to be more tanky, then get warmogs if you think your tanking is fine then get gunblade.

These were chosen for the fact that it gives you early game power but healing when you need it.

these are just basic, flash to catch up to someone and ignite for the extra damage when your abilities are on CD and need that one last bit of damage.

last hit with your auto attacks, if you need to push really hard to keep minions away from your turret then use pulverize then after his passives goes away use triumphant roar. you should be able to lane for a while. laning long enough to get ionian boots of ludicity on your first recall. so basically get 1050 gold before going back.

You need to initiate. Charge at the carry the pulverize one you're taking a beating, ult. then auto attack and use headbutt to get away the carry when you can and pulverize for the nice aoe stun.

Kinda like ryze, tanky but can deal tons of damage.

Overall I think this build is very good just because I win with it, A LOT especially in TT.
