Sorry, but this is the worst guide I have ever read in my life of reading guides.

Guide starts off good, but your gonna run out of mana non stop with that build.

1) Plank's passive reduces healing on people, so ignite is kind of pointless. If you are against any MP Regen items, pick up clarity. Helps you spam parley a lot more, and due to the low cost of the spell, clarity is actually useful throughout the game. Otherwise, I'd recommend Chalice as probably your 2nd item after a crit item. What good is dmg if you can't deal it? (I get teleport personally instead of ignite)

2) Why Ghost? Your spell with boots already make you pretty dang fast. Exhaust is much more effective as you can shoot someone, cast Exhaust, and your CD on parley is low enough you can shoot them again. Exhaust also lowers their armor.

3) Executioner's Calling used to be an awesome weapon, but since they changed it so the prevent healing is an active spell on it instead of applying it on hit, it's not as good. I usually get this instead of the 1st or 2nd Avarice Blade, depending on how much gold I have. It will keep you alive, but later on a bloodthirst is much more powerful.

4) Trinity and warmong? You'd be better off combing the two for a frozen mallet that will give you HP and Dmg, and buying another DMG item, such as... Another Infinity? Sure the passive is lost, but if the game is still going on, that extra dmg and crit chance should be enough.

5) If you go all armor pent runes, last whisper isn't really needed either. And if someone is stacking armor, well, that's what you have a mage for right?

You'd be surprised. At first I hated the idea of Ignite on GP, like I still do with ghost, but it's just too good early game: Crit parrley, auto attack, ignite= Kill. Plus it gives you another little bit of range, plus the further shutdown of lifesteal champs, whether you drop it on a Warwick to make his ult ****py without having to get in close, or planting it on a Mundo in a teamfight. It's better than you think.

I agree, this build is... well yeah but you're demonstrating some things that show you maybe shouldn't talk.

You suggest another infinity edge.... Don't ever, ever do that. It's a waste of money and there are better items that give you more for less. You only need one.

Last whisper is better than a Bloodtirster late game. It scales better.

I never get Executioners calling with ignite it's just so freaking unneeded.

I`m affraid you didnt read what I wrote. I recommend to use Warmog and Executioner's as defensive items.
If you get Trinity, you dont get Warmog. I treat Trinity as chase/nuke item.
Anyway, if I would want to put in there every item I decided or will decide to use during game, then list would have just too much of items. Those items are recommended.

I do not agree about Executioner's. Active ability isnt very usefull since GP have same passive. The point is it contains critical strike and lifesteal. Other items with lifesteal do not contain critical, and I threat that stat as main Gangplank stat. Indeed if you have few carrys in team which bursts from melee/range attack, not abilities, then its good to get Stark's Fevor. But as I wrote above. Those are recommended items.

About mana. I do use mp5 runes. Its pointless to get Clarity just to spam parley all the time in early game since parley is nerfed and it deals less dmg. Since mid game, its very hard to go oom, abilities do not cost a lot, parley mana is reduced. So I count on critical/AD items instead of mana.

About ghost yep, I agree. Played just 1 game after update of GP. Raise Morale completly replaces ghost.

About Ignite I do not agree. I have very often a situations when enemy is flashing away with low hp, and I cannot chase him coz theres few of hes team mates around.
In that case Grog and Ignite can take enought dmg to kill him in late game.
