regarding build #1 you don't really need will of the ancients

Thats true however the first build is flat ap, with just the hp from Rilai's and Dorans, infact the build relies on the spell vamp to maintain in team fights, which is very risky yet rewarding if you can pull it off, thanks for the post :D

Firstly Akali is a burst champion with a lot of damage early game it's expected, so if an ap morde fed you then that would remain consistant throughout the match.

Secondly, this is my approach to AP Morde it works for me and I wanted to share it, if you don't agree with it downvote ^^, thanks for the response.

No, thats not how you should play. Mordekaiser is offtanker.

Offtanker -> Has a good defense, not so good as tankers, but has more damage. In other words, a tanker that traded part of defense for damage.

I see no defense there, the tanky DPS has some, but you'll die tons of times until you get an item that gives armor or MR.

Mordekaiser without defense is useless. I play as Akali against an AP Mordekaiser, and he fed me because Akali is a strong champion and killed Morde like killing any mage.

Learn how to play and them make a guide.

regarding build #1 you don't really need will of the ancients, gunblade gives enough spellvamp, you would be better off getting more defense. For build 2 i would stick with the gunblade instead of will of the ancients.

Not really imo, the hp, hp regen and armor as wRAthoFVuLK said is just solid survivability in lane

Lol i read "doran's" as "Doran's Ring" XD haha.

No problem with shield :)

Also, Doran's is like... idk :/ Just a bad starting item for mordekaiser.

^Agree. I voted +1 since overall it is good, but haunting guise and Doran's items are cheap for a reason. I think you are confused. You want to keep the stats Doran's gave you late game so you get something similar. No...

Doran's is for early game sustaining, when you run out of slots you sell it for another item you need, such as a void staff, hourglass, etc. Haunting guise is nice early game, but late game the stats it provides aren't very helpful.

The build is quite expensive, with the hextech rilai's and rabadon's, I wanted an item kept the hp the dorans gave, as I said in the guide, that will be very late into the game and won't change much, it's not necessary to buy.

I'm just saying that Haunting Guise as a LAST item is just silly.

Also, Doran's is like... idk :/ Just a bad starting item for mordekaiser.

the only 5 i would list as acceptable are Boots, Regrowth Pendant, Rejuvenation Bead, Doran's Shield, and Amplifying Tome.
