Introduction

Wazzup summoners? :} Since this is my first guide, I have absolutely no idea what I'm really doing with it... But lately I've been messing around with Teemo and thought that I should make a guide for him. That is, or course, with the best build I've found for him.

Pros / Cons

Pros

Cons

  • Very very very squishy
  • Because of this ^ if targeted, may the lag be on your side...
  • If doing too well/doing lots of damage will be targeted in team fights
  • May run short on mana if spamming Noxious Trap & Blinding Dart too much
  • Passive move speed bonus from Move Quick will go away if attacked by champ

Overall I think that the Pros outweigh the Cons. Also if you're carful with Teemo then mostlikely you will be ok :}

Summoner Spells

Summoner Spell Option 1

These summoner spells are just my personal favourite. Flash, of course, is to get away from tight situations. Heal is to help for sustain in lane.

Summoner Spell Option 2

This set would be for if you want to go aggressive. Flash once again for the same reason. Ignite for in case you can't chase the enemy anymore, but you're really close to getting the kill. If you are going for first blood using both Flash then Ignite will help you.

The main reason I don't like Ignite as much as Heal is because Toxic Shot is already a mini not-so-strong Ignite

Abilities/Masteries/Runes

Abilities

I find that for Teemo the best ability would be Toxic Shot and Blinding Dart. By taking Toxic Shot first you'll be able to harass easily in lane just with your basic attacks. At level 2 taking Toxic Shot will help you harass even more.

The reason I don't take Move Quick until level 7 is because I usually don't find the need to escape/attack quickly. If your lane opponent is really aggressive, or you want to be, then you should take Move Quick at level 3.

Masteries

Runes

Runes

Domination
Electrocute
Predator
Fleet Footwork
Dark Harvest

As you can tell it's concentrated on attack speed quite a bit. OBviously this helps in improving your DPS. Cool down reduction and some mana regen will allow you to spam your Q([blinding dart]) and R([noxious trap]) a bit more. The gold seals, obviously, to help you get all your items faster and out-damage your lane opponent.

If you're having problems with getting killed more('cus this build is really squishy) then replace the glyphs with armour and magic resist. If you want even more lane sustain, then change your quints to life steal & life vamp.
After that it should look something like this;

Runes

Precision
Press the Attack
Electrocute
Lethal Tempo
Predator
Now if you want more tank, I'm sorry... This isn't your guide.

Items

Here is a more detailed section about the items:

Starting Items
Getting a Dagger and 2x Health Potion may be a bit weird. But this helps a lot with getting Runaan's Hurricane early. Once you've got your first Dagger all you need is 2000 more gold for it. It will also help a bit with your early damage with Toxic Shot because of the more hits with basic attacks.

First Back
For the first time you head back try to make sure you have at least 2000 gold so you can get a Runaan's Hurricane. If you have 325 gold to spare buy yourself some Boots. As I'm sure you already know, runaa's hurricane will help you massively with attack speed. The passive is that it will fire two additional shots to nearby targets. These shots also apply poison so minion wave will die very quickly to your hands.

Will of the Ancients
The spell vamp from the Will of the Ancients will help with your in lane sustain. Since your poison from Toxic Shot counts as magic damage, you will rapidly regain health from it. Will of the Ancients also gives you some AP which will help you with your Blinding Dart & Noxious Trap a bit. You'll also give your teammates some AP and spell vamp so you can feel good about yourself :p

Nashor's Tooth
I'm sure you've seen one of these on Shaco or Master Yi. Nashor's Tooth will give you amazing attack speed, some AP, and a bit of cool down reduction. On top of all of that every basic attack deals magic damage on hit. This scales with your AP so having Will of the Ancients and Nashor's Tooth's AP will help out with this.

Zephyr
Another upgraded Stinger. With zephyr you'll get even more attack speed!(and all that other cr*p...) You'll also get a bit of AD, some more cool down reduction, and a small speed boost. Because that isn't enough Zephyr has a passive; Tenacity. It reduces time of all CC spells cast on you. Its like having a Mercury's Treads but not...

Boots of Mobility
Just because Teemo isn't fast enough! Mobility Boots will allow you to sprint through the jungle(I still think it should be called a forest...) and help another lane - or if you're that jerk you could go and kill steal everybody... When you are in combat your speed boost from Mobility Boots goes down quite a bit, so that's when enchantment: furor comes in. It helps you rune away/chase enemy champions. Every time you hit a basic attack or a single target spell(in Teemo's case his Blinding Dart) you get a small movement speed for two seconds. If you cant reach your target(most likely enemy champion) or get away from it just hit a minion every two seconds - giving you a boost every time you hit them.

Guinsoo's Rageblade
Just because you're low on health doesn't mean you always have to head back to base. You can always see if you're able to help a teammate in a quick and easy gank, or pick off an easy opponent. Normally people wouldn't think about that, but if you have Guinsoo's Rageblade your odds will increase by a lot if you do something like that. It's also a really good item in ARAM because half the time your'e low on health.

Final Item
All these items will help in their own way. Although you mostlikely wont get them at all because you may not go into late game, here they are:

Liandry's Torment will help you if the enemy team has a Magic Resist heavy tank. It also burns the enemy dealing damage over time, and will give you some AP and health.

Rabadon's Deathcap is probably the best item if you want to get Blinding Dart or unsuspected Noxious Trap kills. It will give you 120 AP + increases AP by 30%. If you have all the items above then this, you'll end up having around 390 AP at max health.

Getting the Frozen Mallet will help you with getting more kills from enemies running away from you, or just supporting a teammate to get the kill. It will also help with some ganks because of the slow. In addition you'll also get some AD and 700 health(good for people who think the build is too squishy).

Statikk Shiv is probably the item that fits in with the rest of the build the best. You'll get even more attack speed, some critical strike chance, and the best of all, you get to shock the enemy if you walk around for long enough. This will help clear out minion waves in about 2 seconds.

Conclution

After all of that - which I have a feeling most of you didn't read - I hope you learned a thing or two about Teemo. It was my first guide so I did have some technical difficulties(wasn't very nice)... And all I have to say is I hope you enjoyed the guide and you also enjoy playing Teemo with my build :} Good bye *waves*
