Lore

One of the perennial favorites of summoners in the League of Legends is the Freljordian beauty known as Ashe. She is a direct descendant of Avarosa - one of three legendary sisters who each claimed dominion over the scattered tribes dwelling in the icy tundra of northern Valoran. Ashe mirrors her ancestor's unparalleled mastery of the bow, earning her the title of ''The Frost Archer'' the way Avarosa did during her era. Ashe is a literal Princess amongst her people, though she prefers to be addressed by outsiders as her tribal title rather than any form of royal moniker. There are those in Freljord, however, that would prefer to address Ashe as the ''late'' Frost Archer; the other two tribes that are descendants from the Three Sisters are historically sworn enemies of Ashe and her people. Having survived more than one assassination attempt in her life, Ashe is always aware of her surroundings regardless of where she is.

Ashe originally came to the Institute of War in service of the League summoners, seeking enough influence and favor to finally bring peace to her realm - one that has endured civil strife since Avarosa and the Time of the Three Sisters. With countless victories under her belt, she has started to put the influence she has earned in the League to use. Rumors abound that Ashe has begun to associate herself with fellow champion Tryndamere outside of the Fields of Justice. While she denies such talk as frivolous, all eyes will remain on Ashe now that her success in the League may finally allow her to restore lasting peace to her people.

Introduction

Ashe was one of the first champions that I played coming over from DOTA, hoping she would live up to Traxex. Alas she did not, but who really could. Ashe did impress me some with her infinite ability to slow, and change the tides of battle with one well placed arrow; thats what inspired me to write this guide.

Runes

I have looked at the higher rated guides and they're runes setups are not bad, but they're all basically the same( armor pen, cdr, and mana regen). I have taken a different approach the Ashe's runes as to better her early game and her overall survivability.

Taking:
9 armor pen marks, placing me at 15 armor pen from runes, 21 starting at lvl 1(including masteries.
4.5% movement speed quintessences added with the 3% from the utility tree and tier 1 boots ashe's beginning movement speed is 376( which is only 14 movement speed under level 3 boots w/o the -ms modifications).

Masteries

With masteries I run: 14-0-16 picking up enough in offense to be able to do some significant damage. Also going far enough into the utility tree to utilize the effects of improved flash and ghost along with the 3% movement speed, which helps oh so much.

Items

My items are pretty much standard dps items built in a different order.
I start out with Boots of Swiftness, these increase Ashe's movement speed to 418(faster than casters and other ranged dps).

This build has a significant amount of crit chance along with her passive, this item seemed like the best choice; giving her the much needed damage that ranged carries have to have.

By this point the opposing team should have some decent armor. and you dont want your attack damage to go to waste.

This item adds attack speed which delivers your devastating attacks that much faster along with more movement speed, better to catch your enemy with and also better for your enemy not to catch you.

Being Ashe, squishieness comes with the territory and with that so does being focused. Banshee's veil will help with your survivability blocking negative affects and incrreasing your health and mana pools while giving you some decent magic resistance.

Now your last item is completely situational. I have chosen The Bloodthirster. This will allow you to stay in fights longer and deal a larger amount of damage. A viable option for the bloodthirster's replacement would be guardian angel because Ashe is focused so often and this may deter the focus of some people to other team members.

Laning

Imo Ashe should not go mid, there are better mids and she can use her slows to your teams advantage instead of just her own. With this said if there are not any other viable mids, go mid. While during the laning phase watch out for the other team to gank you, you are an "easy target" because of your low health pool. But with good map awareness and fast reflexes this shouldn't be a problem. Also during the early stages of the game focus the weaker targets i.e. lower health pool and no passive heals(another ashe or teemo are perfect examples). This will ensure a few early kills(as long as you have a competent lane partner).

Summary

In conclusion, Ashe is one of those champions that everyone should no how to play, but almost no one does. She is very team oriented with her aoe slows and her stun, along with a single target slow which almost no one can escape from. A good Ashe with a decent team will win almost every time. Just be wary of the other team and their infinite endeavors to shut down that legendary ashe.

Help lol

I am terrible at hitting close range arrows, but when it comes to across the map save teammates in the other teams jungle/lane i can hit them almost every time(same with Ezreal's ultimate.. his is easier though). Just wondering about them... oh well not relevant.
