Ashe the Frost Archer.
Ashe is a top tier ranged carry that has a lot of power mid and late game. She is decently rounded, with a global stun and the ability to scout out areas from a great distance. Ashe is a great asset to the team and is always a great pick as the team's hard carry.

Can initiate a fight from anywhere on the map

Very vulnerable in large fights.
Focus (Passive): While out of combat, Ashe's critical strike chance increases by 3/6/9/12/15/18% every 3 seconds, removed after next attack. Focus will now display a buff showing how much extra crit chance Ashe has.
-This is a great passive, what's better than getting free crit for not attacking? The passive really shines with opening shots, at later levels you'll get to 100% while traveling down a lane to throw a gank. At the start of the game when the minions begin to clash mid you will have 100% crit, this works great as an opening poke to harass a champion and make them burn a health potion. If you're eliminating your opponents only form of regen early then you're going to have a leg up in the lane.
Frost Shot (Q):
Toggle: Ashe's basic attacks slow her target's movement speed by 15 / 20 / 25 / 30 / 35% for 2 seconds.
Cost 8 mana per attack | Range 600
-Frost shot hasn't been the same since it's nerf a couple patches back. I don't get this ability til level 10, early game you don't have the mana to keep up in a chase with frost shot after you throw a volley and a crystal arrow. This skill is what gives Ashe her ability to kite. Sadly though, the slow is only 35% and Ashe's move speed is very low, so you can still be caught even after applying frost shot.
Ashe fires 7 arrows in a cone dealing attack damage + 40 / 50 / 60 / 70 / 80. Volley also applies Frost Shot.
Cooldown 20 / 16 / 12 / 8 / 4 seconds | Cost 60 mana | Range 600
-This spell is awesome in the lane, it deals good damage to minions and champions alike, it's great for getting multiple last hits and putting hits on enemy champions in the lane. Since mana can be tight early game, I only use volley if I know I'll get more than one minion kill with it.
Passive: Ashe gains 1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 extra gold whenever she kills any unit.
Active: Ashe animates a Hawk to scout for her, revealing terrain as it flies toward target location.
Cooldown 20 seconds | Range 6000
-I level this ability first. It is awesome! 5 additional gold per minion kill? Yes please! The active is just as great, use the scout hawk to look down lanes for incoming ganks or to scout out potential prey. Late game this spell is just as useful, it can save you and your team from a surprise attack and can also reveal the enemy early so you can counter them should they try to initiate on your team. Positioning is key with this shot, aim in places that people are bound to run through, it reveals a high radius so placing it at common intersections works best.
Enchanted Crystal Arrow (R):
Fires a large arrow in a straight line. If it hits an enemy champion, it will stun that champion for up to 3.5 seconds, based on the distance the arrow traveled, and deal 250 / 425 / 600 (+100% of ability power) magic damage. Additionally, surrounding units take half the damage and are slowed.
Cooldown 75 seconds | Cost 150 mana | Range 20000
-This is one hell of an ult. A global stun skill shot. Pair this with your hawkshot to reduce your chances of missing. You can use this ability to initiate a fight anywhere on the map, it's a stun so you can also stop channeling effects with it. Early game it is good to always keep 150 mana on hand while you're farming mid so you cans top any surprise ganks. It has a heavy slow along with its single target stun so don't be afraid to fire this into a group of enemy champions.
The runes for Ashe are pretty basic, despite the recent nerf, armor pen marks and quints are still awesome for Ashe both early and late game. Mana regen seals allow you to spam more volleys and keep stored mana for a clutch crystal arrow. Cooldown reduction glyphs once again aid in the spamming of volley and will allow you to Hawkshot more often so you can maintain solid map control.
If you have a problem with dying then you can take flat health quints to help remedy that issue.
This mastery build maximizes your ability to deal physical damage and your ability to farm minions efficiently. If there is a jungler on your team then switch the one extra utility point to Greed instead of Utility Mastery.
This one is a no brainer.
Flash and Ghost provide you with a way to escape ganks and to chase down fleeing opponents. You will need these two spells to save your *** since Ashe has no escape abilities.
These items provide a lot of damage, crit, and attack speed for you to melt your enemies with. Ashe is great at killing minions and champions so farming these items quickly should not be too big of a problem. The reason why I always take boots of swiftness is because Ashe is slow, so slow in fact that even with frost shot she can still not chase down a champion. Youmuu's will also help you chase down enemies, it also gives a great crit bonus and will turn your brutalizer into a great item.
Madred's is always the go to item against tanks. If you find yourself stacked up against more than two tanky champs then farm a Madred's quick. If you do find yourself going for Madred's then you might not want to get a last whisper, its a waste to have two high attack speed items like that. Instead grab a black cleaver, black cleaver lowers the targets armor, meaning that your Armor pen is more effective against high armor champs, also the effect of the black cleaver is placed on the enemy champion so that your team will also score harder hits on the enemy you are attacking. Sword if the Divine is useful for playing against a Jax or someone who stacked a lot of dodge. A dodge can get you killed or can cause a target to slip away from you, one dodge will make you unable to refresh your frost shot, activating Sword of the Divine is a quick fix for this problem.
If there are more casters than normal then feel free to grab banshee's veil over guardian angel.
Playing a game as Ashe:
Buy a doran's blade and a health potion.
Take mid solo. If you aren't soloing then you will be hard pressed for farm and underleveled. Don't pick Ashe if you won't get a solo lane. Level hawkshot and volley first and be sure to last hit minions. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT! You need money, and this is best way to get it early, a good benchmark is about 65-70 minions at the 10 minute mark. Try to stretch your farming phase out for about 15 minutes. Always be sure to hawkshot down a side lane that has a champion missing from it. Getting ganked will throw your farm off. If the other team has a jungler throw hawkshots at neutral monster spawns to keep tabs on their movement and what buffs they have. You can also alert your team where to pick their jungler off at. If you are taking a lot of early harass then go back and buy a second Doran's blade.
You should be going back with a lot of gold in your pocket, buy boots of speed and your brutalizer than farm a bf sword up.
Roam around a bit and help push lanes and gank, but still keep last hitting a priority. Kill the jungle camps as you travel from lane to lane, getting the neutral buffs aren't bad on Ashe. At around 25 minutes you should have your boots of swiftness, last whisper, and a brutalizer and should only be about 1200 gold shy of an infinity edge, going slower than that may hurt you during the late game.
You should be stacked now, Infinity Edge, Brutalizer, Last Whisper, and a bloodthirster. Push with your team and participate in team fights. They will need your damage to win the fight. Once you get enough money go back and sell your doran's blade and get a guardians angel and turn your brutalizer into a Youmuu's. You should still be watching the map with hawkshot, trying to start an easy fight for your team or picking off an enemy trying to get some last minute farm in. Your role in team battles is to stop the enemy damage, kill them off quick without getting caught up by enemy CC.
