Spells:
Flash
Ignite
Ability Order
Reign of Anger (PASSIVE)
Renekton Passive Ability
Introduction
These masteries will help optimize your damage potential for easy kills in lane with ignite, and in team fights, you will be trucking people for tons of their health. Take the dodge mastery, because paired with the 7% dodge you get from runes, you can almost always count on a 10% move speed boost in lane when you go in to harass them, which can make the difference between getting a kill, or escaping a gank.
Explanation:
This is the rune page that I have found to be optimal with Renekton, giving much needed Armor Pen, Magic Resist and Movement speed. The dodge runes are personal preference, but they go very nicely with the Dodge mastery that you will be taking, coupled with the fact that during laning phase, you WILL be taking many creep hits when you dash over to them for harassment. The 10% speed boost you gain is very nice and should not be underestimated. Movespeed quints are necessary because Renekton is so reliant on positioning, and a few steps can make the difference between your target getting caught in your Stun+full combo or not. Magic resist is very nice and is a pain for any magic damage dealer that has the unfortunate job of laning against you.
Explanation:
I take Flash and Ignite for pretty simple reasons. Flash is a necessary spell, and with Slice and dice, you can potentially blink about 3 times in a row, giving you huge gap closing/escape potential. Ignite is for those early/lategame kills and can be used easily because of his stun. It will help you kills because people DO underestimate Renekton and allow him to smack them one too many times in most cases.
Exhaust/Ghost can be taken if the game calls for either but these are my preferred spells.
Renekton gains 5 Fury per autoattack. Having sufficient fury empowers Renekton's abilities with bonus effects, but this drains Fury. Out of combat, Renekton loses 5 Fury per second.
Explanation:
A solid passive that works to basically juice up any of Renektons skills for that extra kick, think of it like a drop of hot sauce. Using this with his Q will nearly double the damage and healing done, using it with W will nearly double the damage and stun duration, and using it with his E will raise the damage and cut all opponents armor who have been hit with dice by 25%.
Q: Cull The Meek
Renekton swings his blade, dealing 60 / 90 / 120 / 150 / 180 (+80% Attack Damage) physical damage to nearby enemies and gains 7.5% of the damage dealt as Health, up to 50 / 75 / 100 / 125 / 150. Each hit grants 5 Fury, up to 25. Enemy champions grant 400% additional health recovery. 50 Fury Bonus: Dmage increased to 90 / 135 / 180 / 225 / 270 (+). Heal percent increased to 15%, up to 150 / 225 / 300 / 375 / 450.
Cooldown 8seconds
Cost No Cost or 50 Fury
Range 20
Explanation:
Renektons bread and butter ability. It does great damage, has a huge radius, a low cool down, and heals him to boot! What's not to love? Don't be afraid to spam this ability, just be careful not to push the lane too far. You must learn the radius of this by eye, because getting barely in range and using it will often be a reality against careful lane opponents. In team fights, it will be wrecking your opponents and while ulted, you will have devestating AOE damage that will force them to focus you down or face the consequences. At Max CDR, you will be able to use this every 4-5 seconds.
W: Ruthless Predator
Renekton's next attack strikes twice dealing physical damage 10 / 30 / 50 / 70 / 90 (+150% of his Attack Damage) and stuns for 0.75 seconds. Each hit applies on-hit effects. 50 Fury Bonus: Instead, Renekton attacks three times dealing physical damage 15 / 45 / 75 / 105 / 135 (+225% of his Attack Damage) and stuns his target for 1.5 seconds.
Cooldown 13 / 12 / 11 / 10 / 9seconds
Cost No Cost or 50 Fury
Range 300
Explanation:
A solid stun that works as a pragmatic Warwick ult. It deals 2 or 3 hits depending on your fury meter and is very nice for setting up your other moves and stunning the opponent so your team mates can catch up, seeing as how Renekton will usually be the first into most brawls. I don't prioritize leveling this over Q or E, contrary to many Renektons you will see around. The benefits just aren't worth ranking it early, seeing as how it scales poorly per level up. I take one point and leave it at that, but make no mistake, this is a great skill! It should be noted that this resets auto attack timer, and can instantly kill any wards that you see have been placed. Simply dash to the ward, hit it, then use W, and it will die before it has time to go into stealth.
E: Slice and Dice
Renekton Slice: Renekton dashes, dealing 45 / 75 / 105 / 135 / 165 (+) physical damage. Hitting an enemy grants the ability to use Dice for 4 seconds. Dice: Renekton dashes dealing 45 / 75 / 105 / 135 / 165 (+) physical damage. Dice - 50 Fury Bonus: Damage increased to 67.5 / 112.5 / 157.5 / 202.5 / 247.5 (+). Enemies hit have 15% / 17.5% / 20% / 22.5% / 25% reduced Armor for 4 seconds.
Cooldown 20 seconds
Cost No Cost or 50 Fury
Range 25000
Explanation:
I love this skill to death. A blink that can easily become a double blink IF YOU HIT AN ENEMY CHAMPION/CREEP/WARD(?), with the range and damage of Gragas' body slam. It does great damage, potentially shreds armor (if you have over 50 fury), and allows Renekton to farm like mad paired with his Q ability. With this skill, you will be able to jump onto their carry and absolutely go to town as your team picks them off. There is very little that can be done to stop a Renekton from getting to where he wants to go, and this skill is the reason. With max cool down reduction, you will be popping these out every 7 seconds, giving you absolutely the best mobility in the game (besides Kassadin).
Here is an image depicting the walls that can be traversed using this skill.
R: Dominus
Renekton surrounds himself with dark energies for 15 seconds, gaining 300 / 450 / 600 Health. While active, he deals 50 / 75 / 100 (+10% Ability Power) magic damage to nearby enemies and gains 5 Fury per second.
Explanation:
A ultimate very similar to Nasus', but instead gives him health and Fury. It deals massive AOE damage and makes you impossible to kill. There's not much to say about this skill, other than the fact that it absolutely, positively, wrecks. Gives Renek all the power of Nasus, without the ability to be kited to death.
Explanation:
I sort of explained the skill order above, but this is the route you want to follow 99% of games. Take one point in stun at level 1, then a point in Slice and dice. Cull of the Meek is incredibly strong and should be ranked first, Slice and Dice after, and Ruthless Predator after, taking points in the Ultimate whenever available. The stun is not worth ranking over the others, so the skill order that stems from that is pretty obvious. Note: You can take 1 point in Slice and Dice at level 1 if you so choose, the difference is not a large one but it can matter for certain situations (I.E. Level 1 team fights)
Btw, it's mandatory to listen to this song the whole game while playing Renekton:
