Blitzcrank, his rocketgrab is one of the best initiator, as well as a chaser. It allows you to do many versatile things. His knock up pull combo is almost a certain kill with a stun or snare combo. In short, Blitzcrank is one of the best overall champions
I've never really been good with getting runes, but the runes i have seem to give me a good combo of lane stability and tankiness
the 0 21 9 masteries are for in lane tankiness as well as the fortify mastery. that helps you with your early game, pull knock up forti combo that should get you first blood if you know what your doing. The 9 in utility is also helpful for its ability to get you overleveled.
Blitzcrank's pull takes up quite a bit of mana, and your shield runs off mana, so getting a tear of the goddess is a very smart idea early. As well as a glacial shroud and frozen heart. The trinity force is quite useful for its slow and added tankiness. The banshees veil is just a neccesity late game and the sunfire cape is an optional item. you can interchange that for something with MR.
really the pull is only for the pull, it does **** damage. It should be maxed last, the overdrive and knock up on the other hand, are very useful for chasing, knocking someone out of an ulti, or something similar
flash, it is an op spell that should be used on most champions for escape and chasing uses.
Fortify, this along with, pull and knock up, allow you to get first blood if the oppenent is caught sleeping.
Personally i love to go bottom and lane with someone with a stun, snare or another knock up, this allows me to have great harrass as well as some good damage output if they get pulled into turret mid laning. Blitzcrank is not the strongest farmer, he is in fact, quite bad at it. Therefore you have to be careful how much damage you take going for one last hit. at level six last hitting will be much easier because your ulti has such a low cool down that it is up every 2 and a quarter minion waves. Once you ulti, then you can hit overdrive and get the last hits that you need. Blitzcrank is a very good ganker from a bush or wall. He can simply pull someone from there into where he is and knock them up, giving his teammate a chance to come and provide support to you. Your ultimate can also silence the opponent for one second rendering their summoner spells useless. With boots of swiftness and overdrive, moving along the map becomes easy. Late game you should be pushing inner turrets or inhibitor turrets. To get easy kills you can either sit behind the wall of trees next to the opponents inner turret, or outside the wall of the inhibitor turrets and pull kids out. This allows your team to quickly focus one person and get an easy kill. With frozen heart the cooldown is also lowered so using it again and again is no problem.
Okay, well basically i need to fill 5000 words. So i am going to ramble on quite a bit here, and it would be a good time to go back to the cheat sheet and play ur ******* game. So blitzcrank is basically op, his pull is just like, ur going b? pulled through a wall for a kill, your running away, flash and then get pull right back, its prtty damn *** and everyone i know hates me for it, but i make my pulls and am an absolute god at them, so i just shut my mouth and keep playing. People will try and ks you, that is what happens, so you have to have ur ultimates burst up to ensure that last hit. otherwise youll just become an initiator and that will not do. Blitzcrank is the team, and no one should be allowed to tell you otherwise, you are the tank, carry, support and assassin. You will win and it shall be glorious, not even sure if this is 5000 words.. so yea.
