Introduction

I WAS REWORKING ON THIS AND I DON'T HAVE MUCH TIME AT THE MOMENT. PLEASE DON'T VOTE UNLESS YOU HAVE USED THE BUILD. THANKS.

This Blitzcrank is meant to withstand damage and take large amounts of it. It is not meant for dealing heavy damage although the survivability combined with Manamune allow for some damage to be inflicted to the softer champions.

This isn't your typical Mana heavy Blitzcrank. This Blitzcrank also has a lot of health and Health Regeneration. I have come to find out that Blitzcrank is easy to kill even with Mana Shield if you have low or no resistances. Buying the Tri-Force is also very expensive and completing your typical Blitzcrank build is not likely. With this build you may turn games and finish games fast. If you have to carry bad players you can also do this and may be able to sell Spirit Visage for another Warmog's Armor, Thornmail, Randuin's Omen, Force of Nature or whatever you need that will give you the edge on the other team late game.

This build will allow for efficient farming early game, great mobility, damage output to help take out those softies, Magic Res, Physical Damage Res, high Mana for your Mana Shield and abilities, a ton more health so you won't have to rely on Mana Shield, Health Regen to stay on the field longer, and all the Cooldown Reduction you need.

The best part is that it is totally possible to complete at lvl 18 in the hands of a good Blitzcrank player.

Runes

- 9 Greater Mark of Malice -
This allows for an occasional critical hit. With Manamune and Overdrive you will be landing criticals fast, and criticals often. This will make the softer mages or DPS champs easier to kill. Also is useful for minion farming.
- 9 Greater Seal of Resilience -
The starting armor boost can be very helpful, especially if you are facing your typical AD DPS champ since their damage output is greater than those of a mage who has to wait for cooldowns. Allowing increased survivability to start and get more kills or assists because of
it. When you pull someone, it is typical to take some sort of damage.
- 9 Greater Glyphs of Focus -
Cooldowns are very important to Blitzcrank. More pulls, more Power Fist knockups, more Overdive, more Static Field AOE damage and the ability to always be on Overdrive mode if you wish since the cooldowns can be reduced enough to do so.
- 3 Greater Quintessence of Vigor -
The health regeneration boost is important, especially early in the game. You will be able to stay on the battlefield longer since your health is constantly regenerating. Along with Warmog's Armor, health won't be much of an issue when running around the map.

Masteries

Here are the more important Masteries you want to pick up.

OFFENSE (9)

Deadliness
Higher chance of critical strikes.

Archmage's Savvy
More Ability Power per level. However, at this stage, it won't be much. You may want to go with Cripple instead if you like to use Exhaust.

Sorcery
Reduces cooldowns by 3% at 4/4 points.

Archaic Knowledge
15% magic penetration. Rocket Grab and Static Field will benefit from it.

ULTILITY (21)

Perseverence
Increases Mana and Health Regen by 4% at 4/4 points.

Expanded Mind
Increases Blitzcrank's maximum Mana by 5% at 4/4 points.

Meditation
Increases Mana Regen.

Utility Mastery
Increases the duration of neutral monster buffs. (Red and Blue buff are great for this build)

Quickness
Increases base movement speed.

Intelligence
Reduces cooldowns by 6% at 3/3 points.

Presence of the Master
Reduces cooldowns of Spells (Flash, Clarity, ect.) by 15%.

Items

Starting Items
To begin, start the game off with a Sapphire Crystal and 2 Health Potions. The Mana will allow for more usage of abilities. However, at this point DO NOT spam your abilities.

Tear of the Goddess
Get this ASAP! The Mana you will be building off of this is invaluable.
This item will alow you to increase your farming with Overdive and Powerfist.
It may also allow you to harass a bit more.

Boots of Speed
The increased mobility will allow for more kills or escaped death. You must be aggressive when playing Blitzcrank. You need those kills or assist quickly.

Manamune
This is the first completed item you want. More damage, and more Mana. This may allow you to net more kills or assists and survive longer.

Boots of Swiftness

Remember that you don't always want to follow the same build. Make sure you look at the other teams champions to see what type of damage they are likely to inflict most and if they are building well.

Skill Sequence

To start, make sure the you go with Rocket Grab. You can pull enemies towards you, away from enemy towers or to a friendly tower.

Next go with Power Fist. You want to have the Rocket Grab and Power Fist 1-2 combo ready as soon as possible.

Finally, go with Overdrive. Overdrive is helpful to chase, attack, or quickly position yourself for a pull. It's also a great ability to escape from bad situations.

Try to get Rocket Grab and Overdrive leveled as fast as possible, even if Power Fist is at level 1 when the others are at 5.

Summoner Spells

I usually go with Clarity and Flash.
Code:
manamune
Clarity
This Spell is a game changer. You can stay on the field longer, get more pulls, restore Mana for Mana Shield if you are in trouble and restore Mana to allies.

Flash
Flash is great to have. Many would suggest Ignite, but Ignites usefulness if lowers greatly late in game. Flash will allow for a better chase, for an extra pull. To pop in quickly use your ultimate, attack, power fist and if they try to run, overdrive and pull.
It will also allow for better escape to avoid dying and feeding the other team.

Ganking

Blitzcrank is a very good ganking champion because of the abilities he possesses.
However, before you run around the map trying to catch enemies off guard make sure you have the ability to take the damage the enemy will deal to you and the mobility.

Frozen Heart and Ionian Boot of Lucidity are strongly recommended before ganking.

Make sure you let your teammates know you are ganking. Ask them to bait the enemy into attacking them, chasing them, or letting them push minions enough so they wont get to their tower too quickly.

Use overdrive to get to different lanes fast.

Make sure you level! Camping out somewhere away from minions may cause for you to get under leveled. If you are going to gank, make sure your teammate doesn't have the enemy hugging the tower.

YOU DON"T ALWAYS HAVE TO PULL TO INITIATE THE GANK!

For the most part, you will be able to turn on Overdrive and use Powerfist. When the enemy begins to get away is the time to use Rocket Grab. You don't want to use such a valuable ability when you don't have to.

When ever you take out every enemy in a lane, make sure you also take the tower. I can't tell you how much this changes the game. Go through each lane you gank taking out the towers. You will gain at least 500g taking out 3 towers and even more with the enemies you took out.

Team Work

This is a team game, don't forget that.

Make sure you let your teammates know that because you are playing BlitzTANK you are going to be the one initiating team fights. For them to follow you and stay close. In a way, the tank has to be the leader of a team when in team fights because he will be the one taking damage or destroying the enemy formation.

Make the other team try to focus you first. Make your self available first. When they start attacking you, your teammates will know it's time for them to jump in.

Make sure you deal as much damage as possible.

Try not to die regardless. If you are low on health, get the hell out of there. You can use Overdrive to run faster, Flash for a better or clever escape, or Clarity to restore Mana, hence making your Mana Shield stronger.

Low health baiting is also a good technique. With your Mana Shield enemies may come after you.

Summary

With Blitzcrank you want to make many pulls. Practice Practice Practice!

Soon you will be making pulls where you don't see the enemy who gets lost in the Fog of War.
Your teammates will be praising for your mad skill shots.

Be aggressive and cautious at the same time.
