yes pilar is very good but u missed this skill u do nothing...

conflagration seems very weak at early levels. Pillar of Flame is probably one of Brands most powerful abilities.

it seems skill priority should be

R > W > Q > E

with Conflagration only being used to spread his passive ablaze. I also think you should open with pillar as it is significantly better poke, and then use conflag to spread ablaze before ulting
