Introduction

Alright so Corki, the best burst ranged dps character in the current meta, he can literally carry games by himself.

This guide is not going to be noob friendly as all my guides aren't so you should have expected this, I expect you to have some knowledge of Corkis skills and of the general LoL gameplay.

This guide will pretty much sum up how I feel is the best way to play Corki, recently I changed the way I played Corki switching to a more utility based play style as the way to maximize his damage is through all his abilities.

If you would like to go for a dps approach you can change the mastery set up to 21/0/9 instead of 9/0/21 and skip the manamune.

Runes / Masteries / Summoners

Ok Runes are simple armour pen reds quints, mana regen per level seals and magic resist per level blues (you can swap for cooldowns, normal magic resist or more mana regen, it doesn't really matter).

Masteries are 9/0/21, Corki is a champion that needs to be able to spam his abilities to bring the most damage out of him so its important that you grab a lot of cooldown masteries to help with that.

Summoners are flash and ghost, all carries should use defensive summoners because they are squishy and need to be able to escape the enemy from killing you as you do the most damage in a team fight. If you don't decide to take defensive summoners take something like ignite or exhaust for some kills but those skills won't help you very much late game.

Items

Start with a dorans shield or dorans blade, it really doesn't matter but I feel shield is better

Next buy a pair of normal boots (seeing as you have a built in flash you don't need to upgrade boots right away)

Then you want to go straight to getting your tear of the goddess and begin filling that up (it becomes easy at level 6 when you can start using your ultimate), finish up building the manamune after that

Buy a mana crystal or a Sheen if you can afford it (uf you can already afford the bf sword on return grab that before the sheen.

Next this may be frustrating, farming the bf sword, it takes awhile, then expect to have the greatest early game as you are going to shine late game when you have some items built.

Now finish up your black clever (if you really want grab an Infinity edge at this stage, I've personally found I have a much bigger damage output with clever)

Now grab Mercury Treads or Berserker Greaves, doesn't matter so much which, if they have a few ccs (stuns slows etc) go merc treads

Now check the enemys items at this point, if they have a few guys with armor grab a last whisper if not grab some more attack damage (start your IE or Banshees Veil)

After this you need a banshees veil, its to good to pass up on a ranged dps character

Simply finish the rest of the build from this point on

Now be aware this item build is not set in stone, if they are not stacking armor then you want to get more attack damage etc, but I would rarely get items other than those except for a blood thrister.

If you don't feel my item build is helping you, go with whatever you feel works for you, my build works for me but it may not work for you snd that is fine, use what works best for you.

Gameplay

You have a weak early game, just focus on farming up gold by last hitting minions so don't push your lane up to their tower. Now I play a very very very passive early game, its rare for me to try harass my opponent, I just take levels in Phosphorus bomb to harass my oponent and fill up my tears so I have more mana for when I'm level 6 and can abuse my ulti.

Around mid game after you have your sheen you start to become a bit stronger and you can start to harass and gank your opponents. You can do this quite easily, you have a build in flash basically so you can get to your enemy quite quickly, basically hit W, E, Q, R then keep spamming R and auto attacking till you kill them. This is also the same with a team fight, same concept etc, make sure you time your jump in this however, as if you go in you will die quicky.

^ basically how a team fight should go, your most likely going to get focused so make sure you wait until the right time to jump into the fight, there is no perfect moment but you will start to understand what I mean the more you play.

Make sure you use your spells to proc your sheen, if you use your ultimate it will proc your sheen so that you will hit more damage on towers or enemy players.

Tips

- Valkyrie can launch you over walls and is a great escape, also if you want to be cool after you have recall you can Valkyrie over your nexus.

- Phosphorus bomb will show wards if you use it on top of them

- On the caster creeps you can ulti and phos bomb them to kill them for easy gold

- Harass with your ulti as much as possible, it has a really low mana use

- Corki is hard to learn, so be aware, took me 5 or so games to get used to him

- You are Squishy, if you get piled in a team fight you're going to be dead very fast so make sure that you hang back.

Here is an example of how I have built Corki for a ranked game which we pretty much dominated because I was able to get fed enough early game to be able to have a strong late game.

Feel free to check out my other guides which you can find on the right hand side of the page

Good luck learning Corki
