....To my vayne build! This is my first build so dont expect any miracles comming from it. However this build has helped me alot, and hopefully it may help some of the more inexperienced players improving their game as Vayne!
Here are a few of the resent matches I´ve played with Vayne, not every match was worth posting, but almost every single match I´ve played with this build has ended up with a very decent score.
Vayne is a really fun character to play, even if you are not high elo. She is very easy to grasp, but has a high skillcap because of her E ability gaining a stun when used "correctly".
Vayne has a very good burst, being able to take down squishys and even certain tanks very fast.
Since recent QQs of vayne being overpowered, a nerf just came in - all of her abilitys basically got nerfed. I dont really agree with her being overpowered, but I dont really see the nerfs affecting her carrying capabilitys that much. More on this in a later chapter. Lets carry on shall we?
Night Hunter(Innate) - "Vayne ruthlessly hunts evil-doers. She gains 40 Movement Speed when moving towards an enemy champion."
Tumble - "Vayne tumbles, maneuvering to carefully place her next shot. She rolls toward the cursor and her next attack deals bonus damage."
Silver Bolts - "Vayne tips her bolts with a rare metal, toxic to evil things. The third consecutive attack or ability against the same target will deal additional damage plus a percentage of the target's maximum health as bonus true damage."
Condemn- "Vayne draws a heavy crossbow from her back, and fires a huge bolt at her target, dealing physical damage and knocking them back. If they collide with terrain, they are impaled, dealing bonus damage and stunning them for 1.5 seconds."
Final Hour(Ultimate) - "Readying herself for an epic confrontation, Vayne gains increased attack damage, 1.5 second stealth during Tumble, and quadruple the bonus movement speed from Night Hunter."
Q manacost raised - She was able to harass very much in lane because of the low manacost. She will still have the same damage, so harassing will still be quite easy. However im thinking about investing in mreg runes.
W Truedamage % lowered - Her overall burst will be lowered. I dont really see this changing anything, her burst will still be real good, her main damage doesnt come from truedamage. Atleast not with my build
E Damage scaling decreased. - In my opinion E shouldnt really be used for damage anyways, its more a tactical tool, interrupting enemys or for stunning/positioning.
The runes I'm running right now is;
ArmorPen Reds and Quints - Pretty self explainatory, and standard for alot of AD heroes.
Flat Armor or ManaRegen Yellows - Flat armor gives me more survivabilty - especially early game, which I personally think Vayne is really lacking alot of. Manaregen, primary because of the manacost raise on Q. Lets you regen mana faster, I.E more harassment.
Magicresist Blues - I like to go Mid with Vayne, and chances are I'm going to run into an AP carry most of the times. Mr really helps me surive a good burst, or exchanging blows with ease.
Is pretty much a must have for any ranged AD. especially with Vayne's limited escapes**
My next Summoner of choice is
- Exhaust helps you secure alot of early kills when You dont have redbuff. It boost your damage and slows them a great deal. Overall a really strong choice.
Other Summoners worth looking over.
- When faced against alot of heals or you just want that little extra 'oompf'. I dont use this because I think Vayne already have a quite sufficient burst.
- One more escape can never go wrong.
- Low cooldown, not as strong as the beforementioned, but dont get me wrong. It can be real epic.
**DONT FLAME! It's true, she doesnt have quite alot of escapes. Q is ment for offensive uses. A 1.5 sec stealth is not a good escape, It's great for assasinations though:)
If you look at pretty much every other ranged, theyve got alot better escapes.
Corki - Pretty much a built in flash on low cd can get you over terrain, nuff said.
Teemo - Built in ghost on low cd. Shrooms(read Hawkshoot)
Ezreal - Built in flash
Fiddle - Fear + silence
Heimer - Stun + slow
The list could go on and on...
...You get the point?
As a startitem, I buyThe reason being, Its just a great start for any Ranged Ad hero. It gives you survivabilty in form of HP. Flat damage and Lifesteal, to help you sustain in the lane.
Next up is either+ anotheror+
Depending on how well the lane is doing. If im being pushed back, im going another dorans for the same reason as the first. If im winning the lane, I save for a Sheen.
With sheen your tumble will really start to hurt. I've scored countless of firstblood with sheen, Your opponent will simply not be prepared for the E+R+Q combo which most of the time, kills them.
The boots I'll go with is eitherorDepending on the enemy team. Alot of CC + AP heroes? Mercury is the way to go. Otherwise, stick with the greaves.
Next is you first big item. I prefer goingThe reason for this is because of the big damage increase you will get. The +critchance and damage will also serve the most important role in this build later on.
Now this gets a little situational. If you are getting hardcore denied you should get an "early"If you are winning or its pretty even, you go
At this point, you will have about 40%critchance. Your tumble crit will be for about 800-1000 dmg, which will result in alot of kills if player correctly.
Followed byif the enemy team is getting armor, which you probably have forced them to do by now. If not, you could gofor amazing damage, or evenIf you feel that you dont really need the damage. When phantom dancer is completed, basically every attack you will will crit. You will have an insane attack rate and have a great movespeed (trinity,PD + passive)
Congratulations ! - You´ve just become Super Saiyan!
Like I said in the beginning, this is not a build for ultrastomping. But it will help you towards gaining elo.
With the items listed above, you will do insane damage, enought to pretty much kill anybody. Ofcourse the items is not set in stone. I do not run these items every game. Its a very offensive example, alot of the times games calls for a more defensive build.
However, I found this to work 8/10 times when not playing versus a team in mid elo. Everybody wants to do massive damage, no one wants to be able to tank or take damage very well, or even support your team towards victory.
This is pretty much all I have to say.
