Its actually optional :D
It is on the "sixt item" slot, i put it there but its just an example to pick! Thanks for your comment I apreciate it :)

Hi Graypozo.
I do consider that the masteries could focus more on armor and MR than in Health regen. Since in late game, the HR would be wasted towards the Spirit Visage and Warmogs.

Now talking about the 9 points in offensive, I consider that the +2% damage done/+1% damage received will work better, since Garen will build tanky anyways.

Boots of Swiftness are good if you are getting fed, but building Mercury or Ninja could be significantly more useful for your team at late game.

Please consider it :D

Hi!
Thank you for replying :)
I actually think that Runes/Masteries should be based on how you play your champion. I think those masteries give you sustain for early levels and work pretty well with your passive, but, as you say, they aren't useful late game. It's up to you :D

About the point in offensive, ir you read the notes, you will find out more about the Double-Edge sword (I actually DO reccomend it)

My favorite pick in Garen when talking about boots, but I also put Tabi or Mercury as options ;)

Bye

Hello,

I don't think your mastery setup is possible. You have 1/3 Hardiness and 1/3 Resistance, but you also have 1/1 in the next tier for each mastery (Reinforced Armor and Evasive). Those two require 3/3 in Hardiness and Resistance, respectively.

Can you update it and repost? I'm excited to see your guide - Garen is my main :)

Thanks for your comment :D

Masteries (for me, specially the new ones) are one of the hardest things to do in a guide. Why? Because as you said: You have 1/3 Hardiness and 1/3 Resistance, but you also have 1/1 in the next tier for each mastery (Reinforced Armor and Evasive). Those two require 3/3 in Hardiness and Resistance, respectively. That is one of Mobafire's mistakers. Making the masteries here is kinda weird, and you can make mistakes (like me). Plus, these masteries are new (S4) and I haven't had many chances to play top (everyone is calling it now :P) wich means I haven't had many chances to play Garen :(

But, I have AD Tank
masteries, wich I'm using (for now). You can see them at the guide (Ive updated it)

Thanks for letting me know :)
