Hello and welcome to my guide for Yorick, The Gravedigger. (This item build is from the summoner: Atreyu444. I wrote everything else in this build!)
Yorick is a really fun support AD champ to play. He is very awesome because all of his ghouls are named after the Horsemen!! All of his skills summon ghouls, who do his bidding. The ghouls scale from his health and damage. This guide will talk about how to maximize your damage output, while not dying. I hope this guide will help you master this champ, and learn to love him like me.

Okay. Everyone is QQ'ing about how Yorick is SO UP. He isn't really. All you whiners are just used to those OP champs, who QQ about that, and then they get the **** nerfed out of them later. We finally have a balanced champ, that is about to get buffed! HOORAY!

The work of gravediggers is essential amongst the living, but invaluable in the Shadow Isles. There are many shades of death there, and each is embraced rather than feared or reviled. One can only ascend from one state to the next with the magical aid of a skilled professional. At the end of the first Rune War, Yorick Mori made his living as a gravedigger. His family owned and maintained the Final Rest Memorial, one of the oldest cemeteries in Valoran. The shovel he employed for his work had been passed down for generations. Each gravedigger taught his son that this shovel was imbued with the spirit of every forefather, and that those spirits would protect him during the long lonely nights amongst the tombstones. To his eternal regret, Yorick died without an heir, bringing the proud Mori line to a close. His body was interred with his shovel in the family mausoleum, and the Final Rest Memorial soon fell to ruin. Death, however, was not the end Yorick had expected.

Yorick emerged on the haunted shores of the Shadow Isles - not quite dead, definitely not alive - still clutching his beloved shovel. He soon learned that with it he could act as a ferryman for the Isles' undead denizens, helping them climb death's many-tiered ladder. This proved a curse, as a gravedigger must ''bury his quota'' before he too can ascend, or so the legend goes. No one knows what ''his quota'' is. Yorick dug tirelessly, waiting in vain for the day when he would be freed of his burden. As decades turned to centuries, the shame of his failures came to a head. He returned to Valoran to find his corpse, convinced that salvation might be buried with it. When he arrived, no trace remained of either the mausoleum or the memorial. Hope nearly lost, he discovered the League of Legends, and there saw an opportunity to immortalize the family name he allowed to be forgotten ages ago.

Flat ArPen marks and quints, flat armor yellows, flat MR blues. I refuse to give up any armor or MR to get mana regen or CDR. I'm using ArPen instead of MPen because his Q, late game, with sheen, will be a lot of your damage output. The rest of his damage output will be from the ghosted carry. (Side note: Ult your carry to drop towers super fast).

0/9/21:

Defense 3 each in MR/Armor, because he needs it. 3 in Strength of Spirit because later on with all the mana he gets, and Warmog's, he'll get about 120 HP/5 health regen plus any heals off his E.

21 points in Utility, standard caster stuff. He needs the move speed, the CDR, the mana regen, the summoner spell CDR, improved flash... Even the gold/5 since he's such an awful farmer.

I rarely use the offense tree unless it's 9/0/21 caster, because anything more than 9 points doesn't do much for anyone except crit-focus carries (in my opinion), and I just can't afford the 15% MPen on Yorick. He needs the utility tree more.

I have been playing a LOT of Yorick lately. He has no mana, no health, no AD. So this is what we have to build to give his minions stats, and to keep him healthy. Last patch, I would have said no prob, 2 philo stones and we're off to the races. I would still do this now even without the stacking gold purely for the regen, but they nerfed that too.

Yorick simply can't farm/kill enough early game to buy all of the optimal gear that he needs to live up to his potential.

However, this is what I've wrangled out:

1) Manamune is a frigging necessity if you plan on using his skills.
2) He needs to build HP or he can't get in range to melee, period. He will die.
3) He needs to build a TON of AD for his skills to do anything remotely worthwhile.

So, here's what's been working for me:

Start with regrowth pendant/health pot. Max your W and E first because you can't get into melee range to last hit. Play like you're Kassadin, because you're about as effective in melee.

Port back to grab a philo stone and boots at 715 gp. Hopefully your slow is enough to let your lanemate get a kill, because you aren't getting one yourself.

Port back again at 995 GP for a tear. Congratulations, you now have enough mana regen to use Yorick. If you maxed W first, then E, you can actually farm in your lane now, and you can clear out the jungle. Do these things as much as possible.

Next grab your Manamune. You will now actually do a bit of damage, and can contribute a bit with W/E/Q. Your main function up until this point is to R on your AD carry to give your team 10 seconds of extra carry, even if it's only 50% damage right now. You also have a pretty hefty ranged AoE slow that can help in teamfights.

From there you can build this in whatever order you'd like, but the final build ends up like this:

1) Manamune Or Trinity Force
2) Merc's Threads
3) Warmog's
4) Atma's
5) Situational (Trin Force is sweet on Yorick, but you can't make it a priority because he needs the health/mana/mana regen more.)
6) Situational (Probably Banshee's - so far we have no MR in this build).

I max my W and E first. You can't go up and harass the champion with your Omen of War. Remember, you have no health! You'd die! Again, you should play as Kassadin or a caster. Your range is your friend. Only use Omen of War when you are chasing, trying to run away, a teamfight is starting, and to keep up your passive.

I have always liked to get Ignite and Exhaust. You can escape, and almost ensure death on your enemies. Two more great summoner spells to use are Flash and Ghost.

Pros:
Summons ghouls
Is great when played right
Farms Decently

Cons:
The glitches (I don't think his passive is working...)
A little UP
Takes a little practice

Farm with your basic attacks. Try to save up for Manamune. Once you have Manamune, you can spam your spells all you want, without a care in the world. When the teamfights approach, keep on spamming your ghouls on the enemy. Yoircks low damage makes him very hard to get kills. Play like you are Soraka or Janna. Don't yell KS at your allies!!!

Yorick is the first Summoner of the League, meaning he summons minions to do his bidding.

To farm, you need to hit the caster minions low, then W them.
