Well I have been playing dominion a lot lately, and haven't been able to figure out what champion to use. I thought to myself who is fast, tricky and fun to use. It then came to me, everyone's favorite jester, Shaco. Since it was dominion and all of his moves scale really well with Ability power over Attack damage I thought I'd try going straight AP in a game or two. It went really well, didn't finish my build, but got very close. I thought I'd share, but it is my first guide.
What I decided to do was build like a caster would, but use some items that may get overlooked for a mage who is melee. I start off with the Prospectors Ring, Boots of Speed and 2 Pots. After getting to Top and helping control it, hopefully you can get enough to go back for Sorcerer's Boots and start up on the Evil Tome. After the evil tome I started going for Sheen and when I get close to affording the rest of Lich Bane, I tend to sell the Ring to get it ASAP. I then try to get enough for Nashor's Tooth, I think the CDR, attack speed and AP all benefit Shaco extremely well. At this point your damage is enough to destroy most squishies, but just for more fun build into a Deathcap, and try to go for the Abyssal Sceptor. I usually only get up to the Deathcap if I'm doing well. I've only been able to finish the build once, and the damage on the E is amazing.
I, myself am not actually level 30 yet. I'm only around 23, so I don't know my own full build, but if I had to guess I'd go the way I put in the guide, maybe not put the point into movement speed or Spell vamp 1% and instead put it into Death CDR. Basically I build the standard AP 21/0/9, it's easiest and works.
As Shaco you are always attacked first priority. It does suck, but staying in the back, or in the brushes and attacking the supports or squishies can do a lot. Normally I let the Tank run in, then I follow behind with my Q, staying invisible as long as possible.
Only if the turret is still neutral or ours. If it is theirs the turret reveals your location. If it is their turret, I stay behind others and try to place Jack in the Boxes on top of my allies, trying to place them without others knowing. Even if they do notice them they stay there for 60 seconds or until someone or something sets them off.
As a Caster they do a lot of damage, scaling with AP. Once someone else starts a fight diving in with Q and getting behind the enemies is best, always targeting the squishies. If needs target the turret and start to take it over, this stops the auto attacks from it from wiping out your team. Drop boxes whenever possible.
Your ult is amazing in teamfights or 1v1. Whenever possible use it as a last resort to dodge a spell, make a quick escape or team fight. I tend to use my ult when I'm capturing the point, using Alt clicks to make my dummy protect me for a bit, or at least tank damage while I stall.
