Guide Top

Standard brief Skill explanation

Passive: Fury of the Dragonborn

Shyvana's melee attacks enhance her abilities.

Twin Bite
Reduces the cooldown by 0.5 seconds.
Burnout
Extends the duration by 1 second to a maximum of 6 seconds.
Flame Breath
Deals 15% of the ability's damage to debuffed targets.
Dragon's Descent - Attacks generate 2 Fury and Shyvana gains 1 Fury every 1.5 seconds while in human form.


Q: Twin Bite

Next auto attack hits twice, second hit deals 80 / 85 / 90 / 95 / 100 % of total attack damage
Dragon Form: second hit deals aoe damage in front of her

Dragon Form: Twin Bite cleaves all units in front Shyvana.

Cooldown 10/9/8/7/6 seconds


W: Burnout

Shyvana deals 25 / 40 / 55 / 70 / 85 (+20% of bonus attack damage) magic damage per second to nearby enemies and moves 30 / 35 / 40 / 45 / 50 % faster for 3 seconds. Shyvana's Movement Speed bonus is reduced over time.

Dragon Form: Burnout scorches the earth, continuing to damage enemies that stand on it.

Cooldown 12 seconds


E: Flame Breath

Shyvana unleashes a fireball that deals 80 / 125 / 170 / 215 / 260 (+60% of ability power) magic damage and burns 15% of their armor for 4 seconds.

Dragon Form: Flame Breath engulfs all units in a cone in front of her.

Cooldown 12/11/10/9/8 seconds


R: Dragon's Descent

Active: Shyvana transforms into a dragon and takes flight to a target location. Enemies along her path take 200 / 300 / 400 (+70% of ability power) magic damage and are knocked toward her target location.

Passive: Shyvana reinforces her scales, increasing her Armor and Magic Resist by 15/20/25. Defensive bonuses are doubled in Dragon Form.

Cost 6 fury a second and max fury to activate

First guide intro.( be gentle and criticize)

Well , the main reason behind this particular build is mainly accidental. Having strayed from my computer at a ranked picks , I ended up with Shyvana. I had bought her after seeing Moscow 5 owning the jungle and wanted to feel that very same rush. Needles to say I didn't do too well due to the lack of experience and Crowd Control I was used to on other Junglers ( Amumu <3) . Knowing I couldn't possibly jungle successfully my team allowed me to solo top.

I was facing off against a Renekton who was building rather tanky .
I found myself doing enough damage for him to see me as a threat and was playing defensively. Trough our little skirmishes at top I seemed to always come out on top , even if by a little bit.

Reasoning behind skills and items.

Right lets get right to it . This might not exactly be a proper guide for a beginner , I'm assuming the reader has at least a general background on Shyvana and what she is capable of doing with her skill set.

Maxing out Burnout first allows you to clear a minion wave at amazing speed , it also provides a speed boost which you will need to get around the map , Tip: once you push your lane go take some jungle mobs, either yours of the enemy .

Twin Bite provides you with a bit of burst, each hit applying on hit effects for last hitting those pesky minions and harassing you opponent.

Flame Breath can be used on rare occasions to last hit minions , poke whenever you get the chance and when focusing some one in particular.

Dragon's Decent : Its passive is quite good , and doubles in Dragon form. It has a decent knock back , and while you might not be much of a tank it can be used to: get away ( can go through walls), push an enemy over a wall. And mostly to improve all your other skills .

As for items they are pretty standard , but obviously can be shifted around depending on you play style/preference and situation in-game. though the main focus of this build is to deal damage .
