#1 Lee Sin Guide
Caitlyn, the Sheriff of Piltover
One of the reasons Piltover is known as the City of Progress is because it has an extraordinarily low crime rate. This hasn't always been the case; brigands and thieves of all sorts used to find the city-state an ideal mark for plunder, primarily due to the valuable resources it imports to fuel its techmaturgical research. Some even theorize that it would have fallen long ago to the chaos of organized crime if not for Caitlyn, the Sheriff of Piltover. Born the daughter of a wealthy statesman and a pioneering hextech researcher, CaitLyn discovered her natural gift for invEstigation when, at age 14, her father was Assaulted and robbed on his way home. She snuck out of her house that night with her father's rifle and tracked down the muGgers from the crime scene. At first, her parents did their best to discoUrage her from such risky hobbies, but she was incorrigiblE. Wishing to proteCt her daughter in the only way she knew how, Caitlyn's motheR began outfitting her with techmAturgical devices tailored to her sleuthing needs. Caitlyn quickly gained notoriety, both because she was single handedly defeating crime in Piltover and also because she soon developed into a ravishing beauty. She never backed down from a case or a challenge, and she was one of the sharpest shots in the city-state. Her services were soon requested by Demacia to help track down a mysterious outlaw who had begun committing high-proFile heists. The bandiT, who always left a card with an ornate 'C' at the scene of the crime, became Caitlyn's arch-nemesis. To this day, Caitlyn still searches for this cat burglar, and the chase has led her all across Valoran. She has joined the League to hone her skills and gain the influence necessary to track down the only quarry that has managed to evade her. 'Go ahead, run. I'll give you a five minute head start.' -Caitlyn, from her book 'Target Practice'.
Every 8 attacks (attacks while in brush count as 2), Caitlyn will fire a headshot dealing 150% damage to a champion or 250% damage to a minion.
This passive gives caitlyn a great harrasing ability.
She can farm a lot faster too! Although in brush she will get a greater chance to put this to work I still recommend going mid, because Cait is just too good late game to be wasting her time in a side lane.
-Doubles in brush. Making pushing much faster!
-Paying attention to when the headshot is ready will lead to better harrasment.
-650 Range auto attacks. Amazing for poking! She can just hit and run and hit and run! Most ranged champs dont reach this far.
Caitlyn revs her rifle for 1 second to fire a penetrating shot which deals 40/70/100/130/160 (+1 per attack damage) physical damage. However, it deals 6% less to subsequent targets, down to a minimum of 70%.
The mana cost of this ability increases 10 per rank from 50 at rank 1. The cooldown decreases 10/9/8/7/6.
This is the first item I max out. You want to be able to use this all you can. This is also especially helpful for staying in a lane if you have someone who is too aggressive for you. Use it to finish minons quickly if your having trouble with a lane.
-Great harrasment tool. Hits multiple targets making you very powerful in a lane, not only did you just get a boost on your push, but you are threatening your opponent.
-Very long range, with a short cooldown. Spaming this is a great way to make them run from you in fear!
-Not always the easiest to hit when a target is moving. Although very useful when farming up minions.
-One hit effects do not accompany this ability.
Yordle Snap Trap
Caitlyn sets up to two traps to reveal sneaky yordles, which trigger on champions. When sprung, the trap immobilizes the target and deals 80-280 (+.8 per ability power) magic damage every .5 seconds over 1.5 seconds.
The mana cost of this ability is 60 at all ranks, and the cooldown decreases per rank 20/17/14/11/8.
This trap is normaly the last thing I will level because I think it is very under powered. I do however put one in this spell and use it for map awareness.
-Traps have a time limit before they go off. About a 1 second gap before they go off. Be sure to place them efficiantly.
-You can use more then one trap side by side to make a decent road block! Perfect at Dragon.
-Try to trap their jungle early game if you have the time. Will help with killing junglers!
-Cant hide the traps unless in brush. Plain visible to everyone.
-You will not have vision of champs standing next to the traps, unless they are sitting on the trap. Thats when it goes off and reveals them.
-Trap will however reveal a small area where it is placed for first 2 seconds.
90 Caliber Net
Caitlyn fires a net to slow her target by 50% for 1-2 second(s). This deals 80-280 (+.8 per ability power) magic damage and knocks Caitlyn back.
The mana cost of this ability is 90 at all ranks, and the cooldown decreases per rank 18/16/14/12/10.
One of my favorate abilities Caitlyn has. The ability to slow, and do a flash at the same time! This is great for scoring a kill under a tower.
-Very useful when combining this ability with your peacemaker! Can make even the toughest champs flee.
-Great escape tatic, also perfect for more harasment. Being lunged through walls and slowing enemys at same time.
-Make sure to be clear of minions if trying to hit a champion. They will get in your way and waste the ability at times.
Ace In The Hole
Caitlyn takes time to line up the perfect shot, dealing 250/400/550 (+2 per bonus Attack Damage) physical damage at 1400 / 1800 / 2200 range.
The mana cost of this ability is 150 at all ranks, and the cooldown decreases per rank 90/75/60.
This ability will lock on to a champion and show them for a short period of time. While it channels you can not do anything but sit. Be careful for if you get attacked while starting this abilty it can be briefly dissabled for 3 seconds without the mana refreshment.
-This ability does apply one hit effects. (Ex: Frozen Mallet, Tiamat, Sheen.)
-Any champion that stand in front of the ult will take the damage instead of who you intend for it to hit.
-Gives away your location
-Panteons passive will block this ablity, along with nocturne and siver.
-Base damage doesnt apply to this ability, only buffs runes and masteries.
Welcome to my very detailed guide on one of my favorate champions in the game, Caitlyn.

Glass Cannon Penta?
Penta kill video will be uploaded soon.
Caitlyn is capable of taking down tanks at an alarming rate. I feel as if she is almost as good at a fed Kog Mawg at how quickly i've seen them fall.
There was a game I played where I had taken down 2 tankys with some help from my team, but not much because they were under their turret, and even walked in and finished squishys for a penta before the turret could kill me. I don't recommend trying to do this, but there will come times where you will know when you can and cant get away with turret dives, even with squishys.
I have put together some tips and tricks videos to make you a better player!
This is to show you an escape tatic if ganked in mid lane and forced to go river for safety.
All fan records will be shown right here, just upload a pic or video in the comment box. :)
This is where it can get very tricky. I personally like attack speed runes, plus they will make your passive come up sooner.
Lets think about this for a second. Lets say with attack speed runes you can put out 90 damage every second. Now with damage runes you can put out 100 damage every 1.5 seconds.
That means with the attack speed runes you have now put out 270 damage in 3 seconds, and with damage runes you have put out 200 damage in 3 seconds. Even if they do correspond with her abilties.
Now lets have a look into damage vs armor pen.
Damage will benifit your ablilities, and give you a better run for the first 6 levels. But after lvl 6 your armor pen will be more deadly. I think armor pen is better IMO.
Marks of Attack Speed. You want that passive to do work!
Seals of Clarity so your mana doesn't run out. This is best mana regen IMO.
Glyphs of Attack Speed. Must I remind you about the passive? :)
Armor Pen Runes! Because whats damage worth if armor is blocking it?
I actually like my masteries 23/0/7
Not much to say here.. The masteries are chosen to help farm and still be agressive while in team fights. I dont see a point in going in awareness, but I have two left over so I do anyway.
I find myself out ranking the other mids all the time, and I dont even have a full awareness on my guy.
If you have any other mastery suggestions let me know.
This champion requires you to be full aware of your surroundings, because she can die so easily.
You must always work with your team. Help gank dont be afraid to leave mid open if your teleport is up. She is a great team player and needs to get in and out of the fight non stop.
Please dont be the first to start fighting because you will probably die.
You need to learn how to get last hits if you haven't already.
Never waste a headshot on a minion that you could kill without it. Unless that minion is going to die if you dont. Why? Because if you use it on a minion with health, and lose the minion you could of had it could possibly cost you to lose two minions if you get beat to the last hit.
Get use to a trick I call Cycling. You want to be able to cycle through minons as you hit them.. hit a few of them and let the your minons do the work.. Attack the minions in the back and last hit the ones your minons are attacking. Learn to hit 2-3 minions at a time in a row. Then use ur peacemaker to get fast minions.
Creeping / Jungling
Don't try to jungle with Cait, but do consider ganking blue buff with two other teamates if they have a jungler. She could use this early to farm faster with last hits.
Also ward the jungle with your traps. It wont give you great vision but if they step on it you know you can gank.
Thank you everyone who took the time to read this and give it a try. Look me up on LOL I have a great wining record and turned cait into a pro carry.
