Not Updated For Current Season
The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
Hello everybody I'm Thejack312 and welcome to my Elise solo top guide. Here you find all the in-depth tips and tricks. This is my first guide and I hope you enjoy reading it and I'm open for comments and tips. Please vote after you read the whole guide and don't vote down because you don't like the items or something.
Now lets start with the guide!
-She has a very good combo.
-She has great chasing ability.
-Even if you build her tanky, She still does a good amount of damage.
-She has a fairly strong stun.
-Her Spider form gives some nice extra stats.
-Her abilities in spider form cost no mana.
-Her escape ability can only be cast on a enemy
-Very squishy early game
-Her stun is kinda hard to land
-requires some skills to play with.
-You need to get used to her play style (form switching)
-You often get focused in team fights
Spider Swarm (passive)
First on the list is her passive Spider Swarm Everytime Elise hits an enemy she readies a spiderling to fight on her side as soon as she goes into her spider form. At level 1 you get 2 spiderlings and everytime you level up your ultimate your maximum is increased.
It is a great passive in my opinion because it can help you in many different ways. For example if Blitzcrank tries to Rocket Grab you there is a big chance that he will Rocket Grab a spiderling. I think most pets are just useless like zyra's plants. A great thing about the spiderlings is that they are smart, they attack the strongest unit it can find.
Neurotoxin / Venomous Bite (Q)
Her Neurotoxin / Venomous Bite is a single target nuke that in human form does damage based on the targets current health and in spider form it damages based on the targets missing health. This gives a great combo.
I really like this ability because it has such a good synergy with your Q in spider form, it does tons of damage if you get your full combo on a target.
Volatile Spiderling / Skittering Frenzy (W)
Her Volatile Spiderling / Skittering Frenzy in human form is a spider that walks to the targeted area, if it hits an enemy it explodes. Otherwise it just goes to the targeted location and it stays there. After a few seconds it explodes there.
Her Volatile Spiderling / Skittering Frenzy in spider form gives you and your spiderlings an attack speed boost and lifesteal.
Your Volatile Spiderling / Skittering Frenzy in human form is good to scout bushes and does a great amount of damage. A great thing about her Volatile Spiderling is that it gives vision of the area it walks in.
Your Volatile Spiderling / Skittering Frenzy in spider form is great for sustain in lane because of the lifesteal it gives. You don't get in danger and lose HP because your spiderlings can just attack and you get your health back
Cocoon / Rappel (E)
Your Cocoon / Rappel in human form is a skill shot stun that stuns the first enemy it hits for a few seconds.
your Cocoon / Rappel in spider form is a very interesting skill with lots of potential, but it is very hard to master. When you hit your E button, you rise into the air for a few seconds. Uppon targeting an enemy (or neutral monster) you land on them on your way back.
Your Cocoon / Rappel in human form is extremely powerful because every stun is just powerful. You can escape ganks or secure a kill.
Your Cocoon / Rappel in spider form is a whole other story. You can do so much with it like escaping to the wraits or just make it act like a Zhonya's Hourglass for example. But it is very hard to master and to use at the right time.
Spider Form / Human Form (Ultimate)
Your Spider Form / Human Form is your form switching ability. You learn it at level 1. If you level it up your max amount of spiderlings is increased and they do more damage.
Greater Mark of Insight is a Magic Penetration rune, it give you 0.95 Magic Penetration per rune (Total of 8,55 extra Magic Penetration). This rune is really helpfull with any AP champion, this is also a common rune for AP's.
I think most of your enemies on Solo Top like Darius or Olaf are kind of tank based, so they will have some MR (Magic Resist). With your Magic Penetration you can already in begin game get through their MR and deal more damage.
Greater Seal of Resilience gives you 1.41 Armor per rune (Total of 12,69 extra Armor). This rune really helps against AD's on Solo Top's, most of the Solo Top's are AD based so those 12,69 extra armor will help you alot!
I think this Armor rune really helps out a lot, for sure at begin game. Against all the Solo Top's except some of them ( Nidalee <-- if AP or against another Elise). Whenever you get against any of the AP based champions, just trust on your dodge/play skills ;)
This is a MR per Level rune which gives you 0,15 MR per level (2,7 MR on level 18), you get in total 1,35 per level extra MR. Which will help you against enemy laner AP based and Jungler AP based ( Dr. Mundo).
In my opinion this is a really defensive rune, which will help you in Team fights and getting ganked by Mid or Jungler. Begin game you don't really have an Advantage having this Rune but Mid/End game this rune will save your live for sure!
This is an Ability Power rune, which gives you 4.95 (5) AP (Ability Power) at the beginning of the game (15 AP in total). This rune is a Common rune at any AP based champion because it boosts your damage alot if you ask me.
I think this rune really deals alot of damage especially begin game, when you start already with 15 AP you will destroy your enemy totally!'
