Hello, and welcome to my first guide. The guide you are reading is what i like to call a "Free Form Farming" (A term which i came up with) Udyr guide. The idea behind this guide is to be spontaneous, creative, and tactical as Udyr, and to help you have some fun wracking up dozens of kills. The entire guide is open to question and comment because it is a free form build. This is not a cookie cutter build in any way, and should be picked apart by anyone who feels they can offer some insight into the fascinating world of Udyr, The true environmentalist of the plain of justice.

And once again, welcome.

The biggest idea i can stress when it comes to playing Udyr is that he can deal a lot of damage but in some instances cannot take much. Because i do not build him a tank which many people believe is his true calling. The turtle shield is honestly garbage against champions late game. It does not offer alot of extra protection, but if you play with my build which has a huge amount of life steal it can become effective in team fights to buy the most time possible for your team to burn there health away. Please don't take ] this as a reason not to play him, take it as a warning as to not expect yourself to be taking on a team of three with ease.

This guide is called a Free Form Farming Guide Because you choose who you want to play, and how you want to play them, which is why this is not a cookie cutter build. As Udyr, you want to solo top, which should be pretty self explanatory, but as you lane top abuse the fact that Udyr takes advantage of running speed, impressive health regen, and crazy burst damage. Plus a kickass stun. The way you play is by laning top and pressure your opponent up top by chasing, stunning and ravaging they're upper torso. As you push top you want to farm creeps until until you get to the first turret. Attack the turret until the next set of minions arrives or the other champion, then run into top jungle (Do not try this until level 5) and go from left to right taking out all 4 minion camps, remember that switching stances as before your passive buff ticks off, so switch rapidly and often to keep your attack speed up. By the time you finish the top (Don't forget that turtle stance and tiger stance are your two best weapons) and by that time the other player should have made it to the top of your lane just before your turret. Push them back and wait until all four camps are back, do this until level 8 then go kill dragon you stud. Solo him down and make your team some sweet bank. while you are waiting on top jungle to respawn go down to the middle and go left from right again. The best thing you can do is put the ward you get with wriggles lantern in the center of the middle jungle, so you know they are ganking before they do. solo dragon the wrest of the game and take the entire jungle when you can. done correctly you will have somewhere between 175-250 minion kills in a good match. and you will be level 18 before the enemy hits 12.

At this point in the game you will be doing a lot ganking, you move around fast and the stun comes in handy, make sure you come into the fight after it begins, you don't want to to run if the realize how strong you are, give them enough time to commit to a fight and then jump one with a stun, the stun will frighten the whole team, and if you time this combination correctly (Bear Stance - Tiger Stance - Turtle Stance - Tiger Stance) no one will be able to stop you. Stunning can help you chase, get kills, save team mates, and save yourself. So remember that.

The items i have listed is a pretty standard build that i try to stick to, but like all LoL games are you will have to make decisions that will manipulate how you build. For example, the Thornmail might be replaced by something like a Force of Nature. Just make sure you are careful with what you buy, doing things like building pure tank wont work with Udyr if you ask me. The best thing you can do is try to get your armor to 200ish and magic resist to 150ish if you are really trying to build him a tank. But the same goes along with pure health, or pure damage, just try to balance damage output with enough defense stats to protect yourself from what ever LoL throws at you.

If you are looking for a ranked guide i am sorry to say that you will need to look elsewhere. I play casually and do not care to go through the frustration of ranked play.
