Introduction
As an AP carry, Syndra's strengths are her single target burst with Unleashed Power and AoE utility with Force of Will (slow) and Scatter the Weak (knockback with an additional stun interaction). Additionally, she is allowed to move around during her casting animations which means she can be less stationary than other champions.
On the downside, she has no gap closer which makes her susceptible to champions who can get in her face and blow her up. Her lack of gap closer also means she has no way to unleash her burst damage on a backline squishy without helping chunk through the tankier frontline first with her basic spells. She also has some mana issues early on during the lane phase due to the mana cost of Dark Sphere and her reliance on its interactions with her other skills.
Overall, she's a fairly unique champion to play because of her throw mechanic with Force of Will. It has multiple uses, and hands on experimentation is the best way to learn how to play her. This guide is merely a short guide meant to give you an idea about building her and introducing you to her gameplay.
