Cho'Gath, The Terror Of The Void

Check my builds ->Rammus, Karthus

Cho'Gath is heavy tank with a good damage, stun, silence and slow - ALL of this in one Hero.

Pros :

-Good damage while having an awsome tanking
-Stun, silence and slow in a single hero
-Good farmer and stay in lanes forever

Cons :

-Early game you are weaker and thus easier to kill
-Low mana that easily runs out
-People get scared when they see a huge alien runing towards them

Runes :

I got Marks of armor penetration beacause it helps a lot in farming.
Seals of evasion because dodge is realy good and activate nimbleness, that increase move speed by 10%.
Glyphs of mana for the lack of mana of cho gath and you run out of mana fast.
Quintessence of health because at level 1 97hp is the diference between a kill and a death.
I aways try to get the primary boost of the runes to improve something that the hero needs, so even going into this tought you can change the marks for crit chance/damage , seals for armor/health, glyphs for magic resist/reduced cd and quintessence for any you like.

Skills :

Whenever Cho'Gath kills a unit, he recovers 40 - 82 (based on level) health and 8-16 mana.
Great passive, makes you stay in lanes forever.

Ruptures the ground at target location. After a short delay, enemies are launched into the air for 1 second, dealt 80 / 135 / 190 / 245 / 305 (+100% of ability power) magic damage, and have their movement speed slowed by 60% for 3 seconds.
Good stun, good damage and good slow. Try to use when your enemy is "distracted".

Cooldown 10 seconds Cost 80 / 90 / 100 / 110 / 120 mana Range 950

Feral Scream

Cho'Gath screams in a cone in front of him, silencing enemies for 2 / 2.5 / 3 / 3.5 / 4 second(s) and causing 80 / 130 / 180 / 240 / 300 (+70% of ability power) magic damage.
Decent damage and realy funny to see those nukers freaking out while in silence.

Cooldown 16 seconds Cost 70 / 80 / 90 / 100 / 110 mana Range 300

Vorpal Spikes

Toggle: Cho'gath's physical attacks launch spikes which deal 20 / 30 / 40 / 50 / 60 (+20% of ability power) magic damage to a line in front of him.
Good farming tool, i get 2 points earlier for a decent farm throut the match.

Range 40

Deals 300 / 550 / 800 (+50% of ability power) damage to target champion, or 1000 damage to target minion (ignores resists).

If the target is killed by Feast, Cho'Gath grows, gaining 90 / 120 / 150 maximum health (maximum 6 stacks). Cho'Gath loses up to 3 stacks upon death.

Ah, such a nice skill, it deals true damage and if you kill a unit with it you grow larger with a hp boost. Take advantage of its low cd to kill neutrals and get charges at the ult and neutral buffs.

Cooldown 60 seconds Cost 100 mana Range 100

Itens :

Ruby Crystal

quite some hp boost for lv 1 so its worth it.

Ninja Tabi

The dodge suits you well, boosting the chance of activating nimbleness.

Turn your ruby crystal into this and even if you get just assist it makes you get quite some health and at 20 stacks 15% less damage so its a worthy pick.

Warmog's Armor

Great health and health regen item, and since you farm well it fits you well.

Sunfire Cape

Good health, some armor and a AoE damage that helps you farm.

Guardian Angel

Good item with some armor and magic resist and the ressurection ability, just beware that guardian angel gives the bad habit to make you think you are unkillable and so it decreses your gameplay (like going into their fountain or going alone ).

Atma's Impaler

When you get this your health should be so high that this would make you get quite some melee damage.

Early Game :

Get ruby crystal and go to lane, get your creeps and if an enemy is mocking you rupture them and go dropping their hp and if an oportunity comes up use rupture, feral scream and if needed use ghost.

Mid Game :

At this point you should have at least boots, leviathan and giants belt, otherwise you better go jungle a bit to feast neutrals for buff, money and feast stacks. Try to get as many kills and assist as possible, since we need leviathan at 20 stacks, so gank often.

Late Game :

Try to get in batles just with 6 stacks of feast, but most important use the area effect abilities for getting assists for leviathan if you died and aways kill baron/dragon from 3v3 map since you can tank them and beware because some heavily fed carrys can still kill you.

I hope i helped you to learn at least one way to play as Cho'Gath, who is a realy good tank, a decent melee damager and a good magic damager.
