Introduction
Remember to ALWAYS take care at the start as he can be a bit squishy and once you fall 2 or 3 level's behind its a right pain to pull back! (starts to warm up a bit once you hit around level 8 and at end game can compete with almost any champion out there :)
So enjoy the guide! :D please rate and comment!
I pick up the Wriggle's Lantern as soon as possible as this helps out alot with getting the CS up, it also has a nice life steal bonus that lets you stay in the lane that bit longer. | SPACE |
ForSPACE |
Replace the Wriggle's Lantern with The Bloodthirster as this greatly improves your overall damage and also gives a better lifesteal bonus. |
I like to start off with the Doran's Blade 10 Attack Damage, 100 Health and 3 Life Steal. Another option though is to start off with the Boots of Speed and 3 pots (healing), both are equally viable. SPACE |
ForSPACE |
Replace Doran's Blade with Last Whisper for the extra damage and armour penetration (which is very handy vs tanks) |
Last Whisper - +40 Attack Damage UNIQUE Passive: +40% Armor Penetration. | SPACE |
ForSPACE |
Frozen Mallet - The Frozen Mallet gives you +700 Health +20 Attack Damage UNIQUE Passive: Your basic attacks slow your target's Movement Speed by 40% for 2.5 seconds (30% for ranged attacks). So you will have a great deal more health but your damage will be reduced. |
Greater Mark of Alacrity - this one is self explanatory really, you want to be getting as close to 2.5 attack speed as possible without exceeding it. Anything over this is a waste as you could be putting the points into extra damage. |
Greater Seal of Evasion - I like to go for this to get some dodge rating as I don't put any points into the defense Mastery tree, so this just helps out a bit with damage reduction. |
Greater Glyph of Strength - Again, probably goes without saying these will increase your damage output, doesn't help with poison damage but this build is mainly going for AD damage. |
Greater Quint of Fortitude - I have gone for these to give a bit more health, mainly for early game survival (when you get Life Steal it becomes less important). You could go for something that gives you a bit more damage but to be honest the damage output with this build is not that bad :) |
Pros:
* (Short) Ranged Champion.
* Decent ganker.
* Can easily take down a single opponent in a matter of seconds.
* Escapes are easy. (Move Quick, Ghost or Flash)
* Can incapacitate an enemy carry for several seconds, if not flat out kill them.
* Capable of extremely consistent rates of very high damage.
* Difficult to counter with defensive items.
Cons:
* EXTREMELY squishy.
* Very Susceptible to CC effects.
* Difficult to sustain if you allow yourself to get hit often.
* Oracle's elixer / Vision wards can severely cripple this style of play.
* Laning phase can be rough.
* AP carries can be problematic, especially if they have a lot of CC abilities.

Blinding Dart - Obscures an enemy's vision with a powerful venom, dealing damage to the target unit and causing all attacks to miss for the duration. |
Move Quick - Teemo scampers around, passively increasing his movement speed until he is struck by an enemy champion or turret. Teemo can sprint to gain bonus movement speed that isn't stopped by being struck for a short time. Passive: Teemo's Movement Speed is increased by 10/14/18/22/26% unless he has been damaged by an enemy champion or turret in the last 5 seconds. |
Toxic Shot - Each of Teemo's attacks will poison the target, dealing damage on impact and each second after for 4 seconds. |
Noxious Trap - Teemo places an explosive poisonous trap using one of the mushrooms stored in his pack. If an enemy steps on the trap it will release a poisonous cloud, slowing enemies and damaging them over time. |
Camouflage - If Teemo stands still and takes no actions for 3 seconds, he becomes stealthed indefinitely. After leaving stealth, Teemo gains the Element of Surprise, increasing his attack speed by 40% for 3 seconds. |
SPACE | Teemo is a legend among his yordle brothers and sisters in Bandle City. As far as yordles are concerned, there is something just slightly off about him. While Teemo enjoys the companionship of other yordles, he also insists on frequent solo missions in the ongoing defense of Bandle City. |
Despite his genuinely warm personality, something switches off inside Teemo's mind during combat so that the lives he must end while on patrol do not burden him. Even as a young recruit, the drill instructors and other trainees found it a little disconcerting that, while Teemo was normally charming and kind, he turned deadly serious and highly efficient the minute combat exercises began. Teemo's superiors quickly steered him toward the Scouts of the Mothership, which is one of Bandle City's most distinguished Special Forces unit alongside the Megling Commandos.
While most yordles do not handle solo scouting missions with a great deal of finesse, Teemo is remarkably efficient at them. His record of success in defending Bandle City from infiltrators easily makes him one of the most dangerous yordles alive, though you'd never know it by having a cup of honey mead with him at his favorite inn. Bandle City chose Teemo as their first champion for the League, and he has taken to it like a duck to water. His signature weapon - a blowgun - uses a rare ajunta poison he personally gathers from the jungles of ***ungu. To help cope with his lengthy periods of isolation, Teemo recently struck up a friendship with Tristana, a fellow League champion and fellow member of Bandle City's Special Forces. This connection is healthy for both yordles, though now Valoran's voracious media outlets circulate rumors that the friendship is turning into a romantic relationship. Regardless, Teemo is a crowd favorite in the League of Legends, and a pint-sized foe that many have come to fear.
''Teemo rides a thin line between chipper compatriot and unrepentant killer, but there's no one else I'd rather have as a friend.'' -Tristana
* Teemo's mushrooms can be used to farm creep waves very effectively.
* Place your mushrooms at key locations on the map, such as by the Dragon or Baron Nashor, to reveal when your enemies might be attempting to kill them.
* Don't be too aggressive, in particular at the start as Teemo can be CC'd very easily by a lot of the champions.
* The Doran's blade in this guide can be left out and replaced with the boots of speed and 3 pots if you prefer as some people may find it helps them last longer in the lane fights.

O - Ward mushroom placement, these are useful areas to put mushroom's in order to monitor enemy movement. O - These positions are recommended as enemy players will often go through these area's during the battle. In general try to place the mushrooms in the bushes and choke points throughout the map. (You pick up some nice bonus kills from mushrooms placed in these positions) Some people don't like to stick the mushrooms on the lanes, but when you are farming creeps in my opinion its well worth sticking the odd shroom down in their path!! |
Level 1
I like to go for the hit and run tactic in the early stages of each game. At level 1 because i pick up blinding dart first I usually farm the creeps until an opponent comes into range then hit them with a Blinding dart and back off. When they are on around half health then you can try to be a little more adventurous (but only a little, remember Teemo ain't no tank!). |
Level 2
The next skill to pick up is Toxic Dart, though this doesn't do a tremendous amount of damage in the early stages I like to try and max it out fairly early on in the game (I know it does more damage in an AP build, but it is still useful to have). |
Level 3
The next skill to pick up is Move Quick, got a nice passive as you get a movement speed increase if your not in combat for 5sec's and obviously it is your get out of jail card when things start to get a wee bit to hot to handle :P (Let them come find Teemo now). |
Camouflage
* Camouflage is very handy if you need to do a runner then hide so you opponent doesn't have a clue where you have gone. * It can also be used on the lane to gank players who stray to far from their tower on low health (even better if your lane partner just happens to have some CC). |
I hope you enjoyed this build! If you have any tips for me, like I say please feel free to leave a comment so I can better myself and improve this guide. I want criticism so I can learn and continue to contribute to the Mobafire community. Goes without saying really if you like this guide and feel it has helped you to get into the Pocket Rocket Teemo then feel free to give me a thumbs up!
And as always, leave 'em blind ;)
