Introduction

This is a short guide to go along with the video I made. She is a fairly straight forward champ that I think people are not playing properly and fully understanding. Most people are building her and playing her like a standard ranged AD carry, ad runes and all and I don't feel that is correct, I will go over why and what I feel is right.

Her abilities and tactics are definitely nothing new for league of legends. Use her Q like you would use Yi's Q as a gap closer, as in conservatively. Use her steroid after you are locked down and use her ult defensively once you are targeted or after you turret dive.

Runes

People are stacking AD runes putting you at 91 starting AD with riposte and that is just not needed. The reason with AD carries you get AD runes is for last hitting and scaling with moves. Her early game gank damage and scaling with this build is MUCH better with armor pen

Reds - 9 Armor Pen
Quints - 3 Armor Pen
Seals - 9 Armor
Blues - 9 MR Flat, or scaling. Others have done some math suggesting a combo of both is best.

Masteries

Vampirism (lifesteal) over the damage for better sustain in jungle. the extra 1% more damage is really minimal compared to 3% of that damage healing you. She deals really high damage already.

No lethality because I do not go crit build. I feel the champs that can afford the slots to do that are much safer to play, such as ranged champs and she won't be able to build glass cannon.

Fairly typcial AD masteries with a few slight tweaks for jungling and for this build. I have had really good success, even ranked (only 1500 elo) with this build.

Items

Start with -
Vampire scepter, if you go a build that requires pots look at it as every pot is that much less gold you have. 5 pots? 175 less gold, or basically one kill assist or 10 creeps early game. Getting the edge early is important.

Boots
Finish Wriggles or go straight for BT

Finish boots -
Either movespeed 3 or Mercury, depending on team comp. Yes, movespeed 3 in games that we are doing well I have had great success with these. They arn't just for singed anymore. Most of the time you will go mercury though. Her damage is burst based so I don't feel attack speed boots help

At this point depending on how well you are doing either get your first defensive item such as Frozen Mallet or go straight for Madreds.

I am generally a min max player, so with lifesteal builds I go straight lifsteal ArP crit etc, however she scales so well with madreds I don't feel a min max build is the best. Until some theory crafter proves otherwise I will stick with this.


So,
-Scepter
-Boots
-Wriggles
-Madreds
-Frozen
-Blood Thirster
-Situational defensive item, QSS, GA, etc.
Sell wriggles for armor pen, such as cleaver.

Skill Sequence

Ok, this is where the debate begins. I have tried everything. The burst of speed WILL give you more damage in a trade off. However, the versatility of the other 2 moves with their significant 2 second cooldown decrease and the fact that the damage difference is not huge, I level q and w first.

I have heard every different combination and did the math. There is rarely a champ that I level all their moves the same every time. Mordekaiser for example, q and e first, right? What if you are against a cassiopeia who hard counters you and you cant get close? Max your W first, toss it on a creep, build your shield run in and E for the last hits rinse and repeat. Same with Fiora. Against a champion who will never turn and hit you, like wukong? Just dashes away? Well leveling your W first doesn't help then does it? The damage increase is only 5 per level on the passive ability of it, so the ONE hit you will get on him isn't improved all that much. However, the increased attack speed and +40 damage a lvl on your poke of your Q or the movespeed of your E to catch him will help you much more. So I am interested to hear what you have to say, but I have heard and read it all and don't feel there is a cookie cutter skill order for most champions out there.

Summoner Spells

Nothing special here, jungling without smite against good players is a joke. Stealing baron or having it stolen changes the game. I go flash, you could also go ignite or exhaust. I have not tried either.

Creeping / Jungling

She is not mana starved, so you can start anywhere. I went the typical blue start as I am not comfortable enough yet to try out different routes. Different routes are mainly to not get countered at higher elo play. Her last hitting in lane is very easy with her innate high AD.

Team Work

Her team play is just like playing YI. Don't get caught and pick off some enemies after CC is blown. I almost always use my ult as a defensive move once I am targeted.

Unique Skills

Try not to use her Q until it is absolutely needed. Use her ult defensively or to turret dive. Don;t waste your W until they have stunned you, and make sure you can stick on them for the first 3 seconds to keep the movement speed maxxed the rest of the time.
