Trundle makes a great tank, and that's what this is all about. It's about a Trundle tank who can clear minions like nobody's business, and push down tower. Late game, it's about him being able to run head first into the team fight, engage, and eat everyone around him.

This is being posted on the first week of him being out, so things may change. Most of his build is in the right order. Except you build Phage first and then leave it there until later when you build it into Frozen mallet.

This is mostly a tanking/laning build, but as you can see, I suggest going into Smite mastery so you can easily switch to smite upon character selection and jungle. When you do so, Tiamat becomes far less important. So a good item to take instead would be Force of Nature for the health regen and magic resistance. If you are laning, remember that Tiamat procs on Rabid Bite, which will be a highly damaging skill later on. As soon as you get Tiamat, start building up Rabid Bite. Before then, it's a huge mana drain.

Take magic resistance per level -and- flat runes because in the early game, the flat runes will give Trundle more resistance to pokes. If you are against other melee champs, pushing against them with Tiamat will deal damage to them and minions, and later in the game, you will be able to get multiple enemies with Rabid Bite damage especially in jungle encounters. Bunching the enemy together and blocking off their escape with Pillar of Filth will help maximize this. That also means you will be taking the majority of the damage, which is fine. By that point, you should have the durability to take it.

Warmog's is self explanatory, Atma's as well, Frozen Heart is great to get your armor and cooldown reduction up. If you can get the blue buff, your cooldown reduction should max at 40%, allowing you to always have Contaminate down, and use Rabid Bite more and more.

You shouldn't need lifesteal with this, as your health regen is considerably high, and with Tiamat, you can clear minions quickly to get your health up using your passive.

I hope this is an in depth overview. However you want to play him, this is just an early build by someone who was very interested in Trundle's concept.
