Galio is a wonderful champion. He is very affective towards mages and even attack damage champions. Most people get the wrong idea of Galio, thinking he is a useless tank due stacking magic resist items. Only one or two armor items are needed on Galio.

One of my favorite champions, Galio is a magic tank. He gets his AP for his passive which gives AP the more magic resist you have which makes him a wonderful anti-mage. He is also very affective towards AD champions only needing one or two armor items.

The magic pen marks are used for his abilities while facing other tanks or tanky dps. I use magic resist seals, glyphs and quints for the boost in his AP.

I follow the item list up above. Do not mistake the Randuin's Omen as a mis-click. I put in the Omen as an option on either the Thornmail or Randuin's Omen. I prefer Thornmail but Omen works just as well. Chalice of Harmony is an essential item on Galio due to the magic resist and also the mana regen which is needed because Galio's mana is not the best.

I use "Flash" and "Exhaust" on Galio. "Flash" for his ultimate, this gives you easy access to the enemy team flashing into the group and using your ultimate is a great way to start a team fight, allowing your team mates to run in an attack while the enemy champions are on you. Exhaust is a great spell to use to catch up to or run away from an enemy and also reduces the amount of damage being done to you or team mates.

Pros
- Galio is an amazing tank
- His spells are great "CC"
- He is able to catch up to running champions

Cons
- He lacks mana and uses a lot
- He is not the fastest champion
- Is not a Dps-tank(He does a fair amount of damage but nothing like other tanks)

I do not spec into the dodge masteries due to the fact that Galio's ulti is bases on the amount of times he is hit, dodging attacks will lower the damage output of your ulti.
