Very Nice guide I am also new to making builds Here is something you can do to really upgrade your build instead of Image Urls you can do this Code [ icon=(Type of item or champion whatever) size=(Whatever size i recommend 48) ]
Or if you want small images to get in sentences you can do this (Item or Champion) and it will show the image really small and the name along with stats when you highlight over it same for icons for more info you can go to this link http://www.mobafire.com/league-of-legends/forum/build-and-guide-discussion/how-do-i-add-icons-and-images-to-my-guides-and-comments-587 it will improve your guide a lot.

Just seems a bit simple. I think there are better items for galio to be honest :) but it's a good start

nice guide to start, but you need more situational items, just having one in there makes it look kinda lame, i suggest adding a guardian angle and other stuff, maybe a rod of ages
