Personally, I go a bit more offensive, but more tankiness never hurt anyone. I love the reaction of people when you're going 2v1 in top lane and still getting double kills and dominating lane, Garen's a frickn monster. You need to combine dmg and tanyness in order to succeed. Also, Garen needs most time a slow in order to succeed, because any bruiser needs cc. Another thing. You need to start with Boots of Speed to be a force in your lane, without it, sure you need gold/time items, because anybody can troll at you. Also Decisive Strike deals at lvl 1 SOOO MUUUCH DMG, it is acutally mandatory to skill it here. Without it, you wasted lvl 1 completly. Other than that, the formatting is great and looks really nice. If you work a bit at your build, you definitly get +1. Quoted: I am not sure a point in Arcane mastery is worth it Yeah, if you put it against crit, it is definitly not worth it. Havoc isn't worth it, too. I think Vampirism is better.
