Not Updated For Current Season
The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
Overview:This build Revolves around high DPS a splash damage. Kayle's Passive give a percentage of your AD to your AP and a percentage of you AP to your AD, this makes items such a Guinsoo's Rage Blade and Hextech Gunblade extremely powerful in Kayle's hands. For my Kayle Build I focus on AP more then AD. AP is easier to sky rocket and having High AP increases the effectiveness of your healing power as well as the capability of reckoning to last kill champions.
Holy Fervor - 30% of Kayle's attack damage is added to her ability power and 15% of Kayle's ability power is added to her attack damage. - This ability is the basis of DPS Kayle, and item that give you AP is giving you AD and vice versa
Reckoning - Blasts a target, dealing 60 / 110 / 160 / 210 / 260 (+80% of ability power) magic damage and slowing its movement speed by 25% for 4 seconds.
While the target is slowed, Kayle inflicts 8 / 10 / 12 / 14 / 16% increased damage to them. - This ability is superb at harassing the enemy as well as helpful in team fights, the slow ability can be used to cripple fleeing enemy champions, effectivly you have a renewable exhaust
Divine Blessing - Blesses an allied champion, healing them for 65 / 100 / 135 / 170 / 205 (+50% of ability power) health and increasing their movement speed by 12% for 10 seconds. - This ability is amazingly beneficial in many ways. First it allows you too stay in combat longer by healing your self, you can also save allies from death if they are very low on hp. The MS boost is also useful for chasing or simply to move from point A to B.
Righteous Fury - Kayle's attacks strike at range. These attacks splash, dealing an additional magic damage to her target and nearby units take 20 / 25 / 30 / 35.5 / 40% of her attack damage plus magic damage.
The total bonus damage is 4 / 10 / 16 / 22 / 28 base damage plus (+30% of ability power). - This ability is Kayle's key farming ability and also very important to her fighting ability in general. In essence this ability is what allows Kayle's AP and AD to stack while fighting, try to keep this ability active as much as possible it is a staple in playing Kayle.
Intervention - Bathes Kayle's target in a holy light, rendering them immune to all damage for 2 / 2.5 / 3 seconds. - Kayle has one of the few invincibility effects in the game and you will find it extremely useful. In general you will use this ability to saves allies, yourself, or for effective turret diving.
Gameplay Guide:Buy Doran's Ring and HP potion to start, avoid taking solo lane unless you absolutely have too, it is hard to solo with this build early game, or at least it is for me, because it has low mana regen. Grab Reckoning for you first skill, try to lane with a tank if possible or ranged char, another melee DPS makes it hard for you to survive. Use Reckoning to Put pressure on enemy champions until 2nd level, at which point grab Righteous Fury(RF), try to keep RF up as much as possible, use it to farm minions while avoiding enemy champions. Do not go back to the summoner pad until you have at least 860gp for the Blasting Wand, after getting the Blasting Wand farm until you get 1375gp for Guinsoo's Rageblade, with rage blade you can now start to try to get enemy champion kills or push turrets well, up until this point any kills you may have gotten have been in someway helped by another ally. Grab Boots of Swiftness as soon as you can afford them, this will give you a decent movement speed, if you need extra movement cast Divine Blessing(DB) on yourself for it's 12% boost. Next buy Tears of the Goddess, it is important to start spamming skills to build up mana, DB is good for this as you can spam it too heal allies or give your self a MS boost. Build Tears of the Goddess into Archangels Staff, 3% of your mana is now converted into AP and that AP is converted into AD from your passive, remember try to keep spamming skills, your mana regen is fairly high so don't worry about running out of mana. Buy another Tears of the Goddess and then build it into Manamune, you now get 2% of you mana to AD, which is also converted to AP. Each skill you use now grants 8 mana and each attack you make gives you 1 mana, so in effect every skill you use and every attack you make is giving you more AD and AP. Buy the Bilgewater Cutlass for some Lifesteal and more durability, build it into the Hextech Gunblade. At this point in the game you should be winning, you capability to push turrets is absurd, to effectively push a turret throw your Ultimate up and RF, charge the tower, in the 3 seconds you are invincible you should have the turret at half HP, you can easily survive the remainder of damage the turret may fire at you before it is destroyed. Cast DB on your self and leave before the enemy champs come to gank you. If for some reason you get the money, sell Doran's Ring and Buy Zhonya's Ring, the 120 AP it grants, along with the percentage increase it gives, will greatly increase you AD and AP output, making your DPS go through the roof, plus the added invincibility effect stacks well with Intervention
Pro's: This build give Kayle insane amounts of DPS, making her a fantastic fighter
The high levels of AP make Kayle's Healing ability quite effective and Her ability to nuke with reckoning Fair
Kayle has the ability to easily gank almost any Champion in 1v1
Because half of your damage is AP based and Half is AD based, it is very hard for someone to be completely resistant to your attacks
Con's: This build has High GP costs and as such may be hard to use if you aren't farming well
This build is very ineffective early game, and only fair mid game whereas some other champions may by very good by mid game.
Variants:Some people choose to grab Exhaust over Ignite because Exhaust and Reckoning Stack, I personally Prefer ignite because of champions with stealth and Tryndamere, typically even with exhaust and reckoning on these champions can escape with low HP, however with Ignite you'll still get the kill, although that is just a personal preference, Exhaust also works well with Kayle and this build as it allows other champions the opportunity to kill an enemy.
Sorcerer's Shoes also work in place of Boots of swiftness if the enemy is building Magic Resistance
