Introduction

Hey Guys,


I have tried this built several times on Brand and I did very well on top and mid lane. One advantage of this way of playing brand is the ability to harass your enemy with strong aa´s and your casts at the same time. Another advantage is the sustain from both dmg-sources.

Here we go.

Runes

This rune built seems to be scary first. Sure it is not a common rune built but this guide shows also a complete new way of playing brand. Just let me explain to you why I have choosen the following runes.

The Essences are essential for your early game cause you will be able to stay on lane way longer

The ad-runes give you the possibility to enhance your long range- harassment and to easily farm minions

The armor runes are necessary for standing the incoming dmg of your top lane opponent or the jungler´s dmg

The MR runes are nearly as important as the armor runes- especially on the mid lane

Early

You start with Doran´s blade. You will have enough live steal and dmg to be an equal match for your enemies ( far below I will list up the counter heroes and the heroes you face with hybrid brand)

Hybrid brand isn´t this strong in early, so just last hit, try to stay in your half of the lane and harass your opponent constantly with auto hits- save your mane for e +q- combination to stun and prevent getting killed by the jungler

Get a ward asap! ( for tribush)

Mid Game

With your Hextech Gunblade and and a part of your Deathcap you should already be in the position to determine your lane ( Whether you are on mid or on top lane)


Become more aggressive now but don´t overextend in lane, especially when you play against nocturne , hecarim or shyvana jungle! At least you only got flash to escape

Late Game

This is your time. As soon as Infinity Edges is finished you are the man in team fights.
Follow the instructions given in the summary at the end of this guide.

Counter mechanics: Champions with dmg avoiding/ dodging- abilities, grap, mobility spells combined with stuns ( Some might think I should add Ahri here but in fact she is an equal match. She has more mobility than you but you should be the better harasser and she is also a low life champ)

Summary

You have to train a lot with this champion built to be able to use the full potential of both dmg sources. The hybrid brand is actually a combination of an ad/ ap carry, so you have to do hit and run perfectly and you must save your spells on lane to prevent a death in the early game or for killing someone.

It is also very important that you understand your role in team fights. Stay behind your team and set the world on fire with your spell -combination and use your ultimate at least when 3-5 opponents are staying together. You also have to find the best moment to use your death fire crasp!

While you have cd on your spells for the first time you start hit and running and then spam your e, q, w asap, make sure you are behind you are in support-range (memento mori) and save your flash for the escape, not for chasing anyone who is not worth it ( You should be able to recognize if someone is worth it being chased)
