Introduction

This is the new way to play Vladimir. Don't dislike this build just because you think it's not good 'cause it's actually pretty good.
This contains

4

different types to play as Hybrid, Hybrid Tankor Offtank Vladimir.
So please try it out and I would be happy if you like it and leave a comment with tips how to make it better.
Get ready to bloodthirst !

Play as you like

People always thinks AD on a AP champion is really worthless and they are going to tell you to not play it. But just get them to let you do it once just to show them that it works good.
And if you do that your teammates will let you play it more often.
Don't let anyone push you down !

Summoner Spells

Exhaust - It's great for killing champions, slowing them, preventing carrys from dealing any significant damage and just surviving.

Flash - Flash is just an epic summoner spell to flee, chase or get out of turret range.

Ignite - Is good for getting those low health bastards and works great with Hemoplague but I think you'll have more use of Exhaust than with ignite so I choose that instead.

Ghost - It's really good for catching up with enemies or to flee and it's really good for these builds 'cause of the low movement speed.

Heal - Kind of a ''noob'' spell and it's pretty useless if someone uses Ignite and the only thing it's good for is to make yourself survive (pretty lame in my opinion).

Runes

I don't really know what would be the best runes for this guide but the runes I've chosen to have on this build are pretty good but the runes are totally to you what you prefer or not !
I could recommend movement speed quints because of that pretty lame movement speed.
Plz come with suggestions of what runes I could have ;)

Masteries

These masteries are also just my opinion of what I think is good. But I strongly recommend them for almost every build that uses AD/AP.
What runes you ever play always be sure that you get Executioner 'cause it will help you with lots of damage.

Skill Sequence

I start off with Transfusion and max it right away for max damage and health regeneration.
After that I get Tides of Blood maxed for as much damage as possible.
Then you level up the only thing that is left, Sanguine Pool.
I see no purpose of leveling it up except for some slightly lower cooldown (?) and some more damage.
I think you should only use this for escape or might some damage when in a 1v1 or teamfight.
BUT THINK TWICE BEFORE YOU USE YOUR SANGUINE POOL.
It's great to have in hand and if you use it to kill someone and then his whole team arrives you stand there with no chance to escape.

Ranked Play

If you play this in ranked games I would recommend you to try this build a couple of times so you feel sure about it before playing it in ranked.
And remember in ranked games you need good map control and farming to make it good.
Also playing an unusual build on Vladimir will make your teammates cry so you I really think you should try it out until you succed most of the times you play it.

Spells

Spells

Passive: Crimson Pact: Every 40 points of bonus health gives Vladimir 1 ability power and every 1 point of ability power gives Vladimir 1.8 bonus health (does not stack with itself).
This essentially IS Vladimir. It's what makes him excel at simultaneously being a mage, and a tank. Maximizing this passive is a must, so building HP is very viable.

Q: Transfusion: Vladimir drains the lifeforce of his target, dealing magic damage and healing himself. (600 Range)
This is your main skill, and how you use it determines if you are good, or bad, with Vladimir.
Transfusion received a recent nerf, which affected the damage late-game, and hurt his late game with a Cooldown nerf.

W: Sanguine Pool: Vladimir sinks into a pool of blood for 2 seconds, becoming untargetable and slowing enemies above him by 40% for 1 second, and deals magic damage over the duration plus heals himself for 12.5% of that amount. (~350 radius)
This is your main escape, initiation, and deflection spell. The more health you have, the more damage it does. Be careful when using this spell, because it does cost 20% of your current health to cast. Much like your Transfusion, this spell separates the good Vladimir players, from the terrible ones.

E: Tides of Blood: Vladimir unleashes a torrent of blood dealing magic damage to nearby enemies.
Each cast gives him an Empowered stack (max 4), increasing his healing and regeneration by 8% per stack for 10 seconds. Additionally, his next tides of Blood deals 25% more damage and costs 50% more health per stack.
This is a great damage spell that increases the regeneration effects on your Transfusion. A Q at four stacks of Tides of Blood will restore the health lost, but also return more. However, be careful when using this spell. You can open yourself up to attacks with it if you use it at the wrong time. This spell also hits stealthed targets, and hits people over the Fog of War. Well timed casts of this can result in a kill.

R: Hemoplague: Vladimir infects the target area with a virulent plague which increases the damage nearby enemies take from all sources by 14% for 5 seconds. After these 5 seconds, infected enemies take magic damage.
Hemoplague is what makes Vladimir such a viable team fighter. Well placed Hemoplague's can hit all 5 targets, which gives EVERYONE on your team increased damage by 14% on all of their spells and attacks. This spell is extremely game-changing if used properly.
THANK YOU TOP RATED BUILD SO I DIDN'T HAVE TO DO THIS MYSELF JUST WASTE OF TIME <3

This is the true way to play Vladimir

Whatever you guys think I believe this is the best way to play Vlad. A offtank is really good for the team and you can still deal lots of damage and heal much of your health so really good guide here. Jungling

I have not taken the time to try and jungle with this champion. It might work but I doubt it would be any good. I'll come back with this when I've tried it. SOOOO YEAAAAAAAAAAAH DON'T TRY AND JUNGLE IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING CAUSE THE TEAM WILL RAGE AT YOU. AND IF YOU NEED HEAL TO JUNGLE WITH HIM THEN IT SUCKS AND YOU SHOULD NOT JUNGLE WITH THAT CHAMPION.
AND BESIDES THE BLUE BUFF IS JUST WORTHLESS FOR VLADIMIR EXCEPT FOR THE COOLDOWN REDUCTION. SO LISTEN TO ME. DON'T TRY TO JUNLGE WITH VLADIMIR IN NORMAL OR RANKED GAME. TRY IT IN CUSTOM AND IF IT DOES NOT WORK LEAVE IT THERE AND NEVER TRY IT AGAIN. THAT'S A TIP FROM ME. AND BY SOME REASON I JUST FELT TO WRITE THIS WHOLE THING WITH CAPS LOCK ON. I SEEM COOL WHEN I DO THAT RIGHT ? I'VE GOT RRREESPECT IF I DO IT YAAAO. TRY AND DEEFEAT ME MOWHHAAHHAHAAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAH. I'MA KILL THOSE CHAMPIONS BRO'.
Srry I just got some aggressions i had to let out. :D

Items you could have !

Zhonya's Hourglass - Just so epic passive and it got nice stats to.

Ionic Spark - You could have it 'cause it gives you health, attack speed and a mean passive that will help you to get the kills !

Phantom Dancer - It gives you crit chance and attack speed which is very good plus that cool movement speed you so desperately need. Only if fed though ...

Force of Nature - Gives you a nice health regeneration, much magic resist and some nice movement speed.
I would buy this item only against heavy AP team.

Guardian Angel - Gives some nice stats and gets you back to life and that's good so yeah good item if you can fit it in your build.

Hexdrinker - Not worth it bro'. skjhfweafgfywq this item sucks ahfdwf

Last Whisper - Gives you really nice armor penetration you just gotta find your own build based from mine.
Good item and is worth the money if you got space in your build for it.

Items

Since I have 4 different builds in one lots of items are in my builds but here are some items i didn't use and why.

Black Cleaver - It's a very nice item with it's armor debuff and it's other stats but I think that it just does not give enough AD (or attack speed) to fit in my build.

Bloodthirster - It gives you lots of AD and lifesteal but I think Hextech Gunblade serves a better purpose here because he still deals alot of ap damage.

Will of the Ancients - Great item with that spell vamp but because this is a hybrid build I think the Hextech Gunblade is better this time too.

Madred's Bloodrazors - Very good item with that passive but it's just to expensive to be worth it.
It will take you the whole game to save up to and you will fall behind.

Thornmail - Really good against AD team. Then you should have it in your build.

Lore

LoL Champion Lore: Vladimir

There is a temple hidden in the mountains between Noxus and the Tempest Flats, where the secrets of an ancient and terrifying sorcery are kept. The area surrounding the temple is littered with the exsanguinated corpses of those who have mistakenly wandered too close. These served only to pique the curiosity of Vladimir, when - in his youth - he trekked through these mountains during his flight from Noxus. A day earlier, the teenaged Vladimir had brutally murdered two boys his age, for no better reason than to enjoy the intoxicating scarlet bloom that surged forth. He realized immediately that he would never be able to suppress his murderous desires, and if he remained in Noxus, his foul deeds were sure to catch up with him. Without hesitation, he abandoned the city-state, and journeyed south.

The trail of bodies led him to a crumbling stone temple. Inside he found an aging monk who appraised him with eyes of pure crimson. Vladimir surprised the monk by returning the wicked gaze with zeal. Recognizing the boy's sinister craving, the monk taught Vladimir how to manipulate and control the fluid of life, often practicing on passing travelers. When it came time for Vladimir to learn the final lesson, the monk warned that failure would result in death. Vladimir did not fail, but success bore a grisly surprise. During the ritual, every drop of the monk's blood was drawn from his body and fused with Vladimir's, imbuing him with his master's magical essence, and that of every hemomancer before him. Left alone and suddenly without purpose, Vladimir resolved to return to Noxus, demanding enrolment in the League to prove the supremacy of his craft. When the Noxian High Command observed the gruesome fates which befell the palace guards, they elected to avail themselves of Vladimir's unsavory talents.

'That which runs through you will run you through.'
-Vladimir
