GP is op but going for the usual atma's/warmog is not really a good idea. What gangplank needs is a lot of crit and damage based on sheen(trinity)

Building Gangplank tanky makes it way better for your team in teamfights. Yes, GP can do loads of damage if you build him without warmog/impaler... But usually in teamfights you won't be able to land a good hit if you are squishy. Most of solo tops are tanky/fatty. If you solo top with GP, and you have one more ad carry and support at bot (who are usually all squishers) plus AP in mid (who is even more squishy and needs protection) the only spot left for tank is jungler. So i'd really say that tanky GP is way easier to fit into Team while being tanky. Since GP is with Warmog and impaler, he still does damage, and he can protect ap/ad carrys without big difficulties. I would personally say that GP without warmog at solo top, is waste of a good champion.

- Comment for the build/guide. I'd recommend teleport for this champion. Since GP is good at helping being anywhere with his ult. While u have warmogs, and you are tanky, it's a great way to keep up your farm and being in teamfights urself. In many situations teleport for GP is a good thing. Otherwise, nice to see someone making tanky GP. Nice job!

Quoted:
Sure if i want to me melted in 3 seconds while doing no damage..... Because gangplank is close ranged melee, if you build all crit, you will walk into an enemy team and certainly melt.

Not if you're a boss and you have ultimate position skills.

Yes, that's why in my guide there are situational items that I would use to replace wriggle's late game if it gets that far, such as FoN or bt.

What???

Also, Wriggle's Lantern is a fine solo top item. Don't feel pressured to change it unless a different start works better with the build.

your items section is a bit sketchy. because you add Wriggle's means that the main guide will be for jungling, but you don't put smite on your build that you have wriggle's? also,
1 health potion is not enough to jungle, especially with gangplank.
I noticed the name of your build was Solo top. this means you definitly dont have time to jungle! so why waste so much money on a wriggles? The ward may be useful for a normal game to stop gankers, but you shouldn't be pushing your lane anyways! heavens sake this is 2vs1! if you really want to push then get a partner!
overall this guide has potential if organized better. Put some more effort into the organization and you will have a great guide :)

Wriggles Lantern is the best item early game for solo top

AD to pump out more deeps!
Armor to take more damage
Lifesteal to heal up and stay in lane longer
And a free ward which you would otherwise have to constantly buy more.

But you dont keep it late game. When you reach 5 core items you sell wriggles for the last one.

Well, I like using wriggle's because of the lane sustain it provides be, especially against hardcore harass tops such as nidalee. Also the wriggles procs the parrrley which will heal me. I also like the free ward and armor it provides me. When i put 1 pot there, it wasn't just for 1 pot, I start solo top gangplank with cloth and 5 pots for long sustain and farming potential. Thank you though! :)
