Though the guide could use a little improvements (though it did cover the essentials, E.G. Riven's all out aggression), the build is really good, the masteries, skill order and runes are perfect, though I wouldn't recommend Wriggle's if you start with a Doran's Blade, I'd go with either Doran's stacking or starting with Cloth Armour or a Vamp Sceptre and build it into a Wriggle's.

Some people are idiots nowadays, don't let their stupid voting get to you, lol.

Quoted:

You MUST be extremely aggressive. I cannot emphasize this enough. Riven gets a horrible rap because in my experience they will sit in their jungle and just clear and farm, and only gank when the jungle is clear. DO NOT DO THIS. Riven's strongest attribute is helping your team win their early lanes.

For examples sake let us say your team in top (purple). Start at small golems and have your solo top pull them. Absolutely make sure you wait for them to be out of exp range before you smite otherwise you will not hit lvl 2 and you'll want to smack a cute animal out of rage, but i digress. Pound away at them with Broken Wings and then take your first point in Ki Blast once dead. Make your way into the river and wait in the bush until the enemy top shows up.

From here I cannot really give too much on what to expect. This guide is a reference to the more experienced player, so make your best judgement on what to expect as far as your solo tops abilities and yours vs your opponent. Ideally you will wait until you can get in range with broken wings and then hit them with a key blast. You might get the kill or they will flash away. Either way, assuming you didnt die, you had a successful gank and maybe caused an enemy to burn a summoner spell or two, which is far more helpful than i feel most players will realize. And hell, after you hit top, see what the situation is in mid. If the lane is pushed to your tower, ping your ally and jump right in. You may not get a kill again, but you will most likely cause them to burn flash or some other summoner spell, forcing that enemy to play extremely safe until that cooldown is up.

I would advise attempting to counter jungle depending on who you are matched up against. Riven isn't necessarily the strongest in terms of 1v1 jungle right off the bat. However, if you know where your enemy is and you've built an early game advantage, feel free to deny them experience through clearing their jungle. Riven is exceptionally good at clearing the smaller camps much like Master Yi.

Might I remind you that the name of this guide is "In Depth Guide to Jungle Riven". When the jungle section of this guide is this ****ty and poorly written it automatically loses a + vote from me. Sure, the item build and skill order may be just peachy, but the insight that this user has to playing riven is almost non existent in this guide. His input can be summed up as a general Phreak "Play jungle Riven because you can be aggressive and deal tons of damage with you skills and items and runes" comment. Assembly instructions translated from Japanese to English describe things better to the reader then this guide does, and that's saying a lot.

You give absolutely no in depth detail about who Riven is strong/weak against, you don't give a single method of how to initiate ganking as Riven, hell you don't even discuss who you should and shouldn't counter jungle against. You claim to have an in depth guide and yet you half *** it on your jungling section and cover it up by saying "This guide is a reference to the more experienced player, so make your best judgement on what to expect as far as your solo tops abilities and yours vs your opponent". That's like me opening up a "How to cook" guide and getting a 1 paragraph statement on that guide saying "This just tells you ingredients and doesn't tell you what to do with them, do that part on your own". Don't label your **** as "in depth" if you never even delve deep into the subject at all on your guide. The title is misleading and deserves all the negative votes it gets for being so poorly written. Sure, you got items/runes/masteries right, but that's not what a person should solely base their guide on to hold up water in terms of great guide status.

I do not appreciate being called an idiot for having an opinion about a guide Xenasis. Chances are, you just looked through his recommended items, masteries and runes and left it at that, failing to spend at least 5 minutes reading through this guide. If you honest to god think this guide is strong, then I highly recommend that anybody wanting to improve themselves in LoL to not take your comments seriously. Now, off you go my little pony.

Psh, and they say the trolls are the reason why MOBAfire has such a bad rap.

Oh god the irony.

I think this was written decently, but unfortunately I can tell that this build spreads out Riven's potentials too thin and doesn't focus on any one thing that she does particularly well. By maxing Ki Burst immediately and only taking 1 point in Q, Riven will play more like a burst champion with very little burst and much weaker sustain damage.

If you want to leave the skills as they are then I would suggest tweaking the items a bit. Buying a Bloodthirster before a Frozen Mallet won't really make Riven any tankier so her lifesteal will be almost useless given her health at that level.

At level 18, an off-tank melee fighter jungle champion with less than 300 AD doesn't really have much presence in a teamfight, and with Riven's barely decent CC, I can't see this build being a very solid asset during late game. With other jungle champions, you either see lower AD because they have more CC (with much longer durations) or you see much more armor and health.

Overall, it was a very good attempt here, but I think it's missing out in that it's making Riven a jack-of-all-trades and a master-of-none at the same time.

Congratulations, this is by far one of the most bland guides I've read on this site.
