I will here show a build to an AD Irelia which should work pretty well if you follow this build. I recommend that you read everything before using the build.

This is my first build published ever. So do you mind to Rate/ make a comment :)

I have chosen these runes for my Irelia build:

Greater Quintessence of Fortitude x3 as Quintessence for some HP to survive a bit early and late game. This is very usefull. Even in the late game.

Greater Mark of Strength x9 as Marks for extra damage so you will do better in the early game especially.

Greater Seal of Resilience x9 as Seals because this will do some huge difference of surviving in the early game for Champion kills.

Greater Glyph of Potency x9 as Glyphs for some more Ability Power so your ultimate will do a tiny more damage but it can really mean something.

The Masteries as you can see on the top of the page it has been set to a 23/0/7 build.
This will make you give some amazing damage in the start and your ghost will have a good boost even if you wouldn't think it would be like this. I highly recommend to take these Masteries for this build as it is a big part of the build. As this is a AD/AS Irelia build i find these masteries perfect for the build.

I chose these items for Irelia simply because:

[*] Wriggle's Lantern [*] Irelia is a good minion farmer and a great top laner. This gives a free ward for preventing ganks and good farm. The armor and damage is quite usefull too!

[*] Mercury's Treads [*] The tenacity stacks with Irelia's passive which gives her the chance to escape easily without having being cc'ed too much. The Magic Resist is good for the sake of being tanky!

[*] Wit's End [*] This item is amazing because you'll have the attack speed which will help your Hiten Style hit more with the true damage.

[*] Trinity Force [*] This item is needed because it really is the most AMAZING Item for an Irelia.

[*] Frozen Mallet [*] For the sake of a slow on hit and for the sake of being tanky!

The last item is an item of own choice depending what you need!

I chose the skills in the order i did because i think that Hiten Style and Bladesurge are very important skills. Blade Surge because of Minions and Hiten Style because of the items that follow this build. I recommend that you do it the same way too.

I chose Ghost because it is great for escaping and chasing. Ignite will be good for some Dps/Kills if you get out of range.

Irelia has the pros that she is a high damage Champion with a long ranged ultimate which is great for hunting. The Bladesurge Ability is also great for hunting champions if you do it through low life minions. Her ultimate has a low cooldown


She doesnt have that much Hp and gets focused by some people. She will die easy because of no Armor/Magic resist.

A good order for using your skills would be pop Hiten Style, then Bladesurge your opponent, and then Equilibrium Strike them for some slow. This will be a huge damage wave with low cooldown. If you are too far away to reach them again and they are on low health pop your ultimate and just start firing at them!

A good way of farming minions would be by simply wait till they are low HP and then just Bladesurge them. Do this to a lot of minion wave and you will do fine and get lots of money.

If you want to jungle with Irelia i would recommend that you start out with Hiten Style and a Vampiric Scepter. This makes you stay alive longer because you have Hiten Style for Lifesteal and extra damage and the Vampiric Scepter for some Lifesteal. Save the Vampiric Scepter for later in the build and use it for a Bloodthirster then you should be fine.

Irelia might not be the easiest Champion to play but i wont say that she is hard to play. Its just if you know how to do your stuff then it shouldn't be hard to play with her

In the early game you should be more passive just standing behind the minion lines waiting for lvl 3 so you have all skills upgraded once. This is a good idea because she will do heavy damage with a good combination. Try doing this and see how it works for you. I normally dont go for First Blood. I only do that with her if im in lane with someone i know and someone i can talk to and explain fast and easy who we should attack and when.

In the mid game you should focus more on going for the spellcasters. Go for some easy kills if you have the stack item. Why should you focus spellcasters? Because someone has to and Irelia has a great passive for teamfights that does that she wont get stunned that long. Irelia does decent damage which is good for taking out other champions. You should take out the spellcasters so they wont just stay in the background and hit on your team mates while fighting.

By fighting other Champions you should know how to make your moves on different types like etc.
Tanks,Nukers,Stunners and other types. Against a Tank or a Nuker try be a little more defensive. By this i mean try put a Bladesurge on him get a Equlibrium Strike landed and then try to back off a little bit. This will improve your way of surviving. A Champion kill must not come fast. Take your time and attack some times.
