Intro - the offensive jungler

Hi,

it is kinda getting late, so there is not much time to go through it. Let's get started then!

At first I would like to state that this guide is more likely for people who already know something about the game, mainly because I dont go to deep into the mechanics of the game. I assume that readers know the basics of the game and have already played some games.

"The offensive jungler" - what does he mean? When I jungle, I like to gang early, because people less expect early gangs and even if you dont kill but pull off a piece of damage, your teammates will be happy to farm easier. The build is therefore focused on early gangs => early damage.

Pros / Cons of the guide

Pros:
    - fast jungle
    - brutal gangs

Cons
    - tends to be squishier

Masteries 21/9/0

I choose offensive masteries which makes you a huge threat for enemies in combination with flat ad runes and doran blade. Note that I go for both penetrations and then again penetration - "Sunder". If you want a little more jungle sustain, choosing the lifesteal would be better. In defensive tree I get armor, improved smite and then hit points which imrpoves your jungle and you have some addition hp for ganging.

Runes - flat ad

I dont think that the new jax needs penetration and you get some in masteries. The basis of this build is early damage, thats why I choose flat ad. There is 100 per cent ration on leap and 80 on counter strike, also you have quite fast jungle. In seals - armor - I hope I dont need to explain that since you are a jungler. Glyphs...hmmm, that is a though one, but I just like some resists. It makes you at least a little more durable.

Summoner Spells

The first summoner spell:
In order to get the highest possible early damage, I chose ignite. You can also take flash - very handy. In some cases it is better to go for exhaust, mainly when your team lack of them or there is a champ who needs to be countered with exhaust, eg. tryndamere or nocturne.

The second summoner spell:
You re a jungler => SMITE. Please, do not think of anything else. It makes your jungle time far better and gives you proper control over killing the buffs including the drake and baron.

Skill Sequence

Skill sequence as mentioned above is meant for early gang - possibly level 2 gang. If you wanna stay in jungle then get empower on level 2 and leap on level 3 or 4, depends on your decision and taste. Simply be sure to get leap before you want to gang :)

Later on you may decide whether to max leap or empower. I like the low cooldown on empower, but jumping around is also very useful and confusing for the oposing team.

Items - the tornado

Starting with doran blade makes you a real deal. You jump out of jungle and do a lot of damage.

You follow with boots, since you want to gang a lot and then you have to make a choice - get lantern or another doran. I prefer lantern, since you dont go for any other lifesteal any time soon. (You will get hextech later on but really...later on :).

Upgrade the boots so you can be even faster - everybody needs a little of resists - choose between magic resist boots and armor boots. Choose carefully! Choose resistance boots against a high crow control team for sure.

If you re doing well enough, go for trinity force which makes your gangs even more horrible, otherwise you can go only for sheen and maybe hextech revolver to get more sustain or another resist item...but really...you wanna do damage, so think about it carefully.

By the time you have trinity force, you will do tons of damage and enemies will start to focus you. You gotta be ready for it => go for some resists. I like guardian angel because the sooner you get it the more you get from the passive. Additionally, it gives you both resist stats.

Follow up with another fast damage item. Rageblade is great for jax since it gives him exactly what he needs.

Finish up with hextech - more damage, more ability power, lifesteal, spell vamp - WHAT MORE DO YOU WANT?! :)

Summary - the big warning

You will do damage and youwill be squishy. Be careful! Do not rambo style if you are doing well. It will screw you and you wont do well any longer! Pick off easy targets. You are jax, you are mobile. Get your ulti up and pick off their carries.

Last words: Nothing in the guide is mandatory. If you think that some change, different runes, masteries or skills fit better to you. Do it. Dont be afraid to try out new things. You will surprise the enemy and catch them unprepared. Go there and kill them and blow them away because you have just become THE JUNGLE TORNADO!
