wait,so your sacrificing early game burst for 6100 gold in hp? that must make game drag out. 2100 extra hp with 38 extra attack is NOT optimal for early-mid game lee.Think about it. Its a numbers game. your spending roughly 7700 gold for items that wont secure the kills to net you the gold you need for the atmas. even if you manage it,any smart player would spend 3800 on a bloodrazor to counter you, then a measly 2000 on a thornmail. they just spent 5800 to counter a build you just spent all game building. a brutalizer is all the early-mid game burst lee needs, or a bf if u can run it. then u can build an aegis for REAL tank stats 2000 gold for 270 hp 30 armor,39 mres and 8 damage. plus you fortify your team. if u want more tank, guardian angel(isnt needed until endgame) and mercs. for 5800 gold you netted your team an aura, 98 armor, 102 mres,270 hp,and an extra life. and thats for just 5800. in LoL hp stacking is good against mages. but one xin popup and your build is as good as dead.

I understand why ppl do it with him, but to me its just not cost efficient. Endgame, dps champs do about 400 damage per hit. And most of them buy phantoms amd or zerk greaves. So you've effectively bought yourself maybe and extra 3 or 4 auto attacks? For 3000 bucks? Like I isaidi I get why ppl do it, that's why I didn't downvote. But I think its silly. Defense and mres take u a lot further, and kog maw, a (good) vayne ( I own them mid with lee too. Cripple destroys them) or even random mundo cleavers own it. But normal solo q. It does work I'll vouch for that. I used to use wriggles too. Then I found I could still farm just as good without it, and still solo dragon with a brutalizer and vampir scepter. Its more expensive, but I build starks anyway, and youmuus too

Thanks for the info. To me they both seem like perfectly viable builds, at least for my level of play. I will definitely have a go at your build and see how it works with my play style. I can see myself coming up against a team full of percentage based damage and raging at my build. ;)

Very nice build... tried it out... very funny... because not tanky lee is just 2 squishy and cant get the time 2 put out some dmg. when you get atmas its just crasy... noone focus you... you can do what you want...
Just get behind them and BOOOM ult in there ***es.
