Hey man,
I wanted to start some new badass char and after reading this pile of text ( lol how long took it ) I decided for Karthus.
I even made this account just to write here. So thanks alot for some good advices.
Do you like carpets ?

I like this build mainly because there are reasons for everything. The majority of other builds just say this is good or this is bad. Here I can read some calculations. Comparation of Archangels vs Rabadons is very good. Author obviously think about it very much. But one thing I dont understand: why to buy elixirs before the last item?

Well, it's not exactly before the LAST item at all - I build that elixirs after the SIXTH item (when I already have full build). The seventh item is just optional and I almost never buy it (the game is usually over). And why that elixirs before? Each of that six items improves you by it's all power but although the seventh item improves you by it's power, it also cuts you about the item you have to sell before. I think that those elixirs give you less than whole item but more than the difference between the new item and the old (sold) item.

Nice and all-embracing guide for Karthus. I played him only in free rotation yet, but I like this champ.
Only I prefer teleport as summoner's spell for it's advantages. Clarity help you mainly in lane phase, allow u to be more aggresive, maybe get some bonus kill, but teleport is help for whole team and whole game (exactly for reasons which u described to this spell). Then it's probably necessary take MP5 yellows and sacrifice 48 health and/or start with sapphire crystal, but it's not so terrible.

Anyway, great guide, +1.

btw u know that Rabadon's caps don't stack? O_o

Yes, exactly, you are right. It's trade: early-game aggressivity, maybe some early-game kills more (because of more mana and health) vs. very good spell for whole the game (not just for the beggining). I prefer strong early-game and mid-game to get fed over later advantages but I don't say it's better. It just depends on your playstyle.

the items, runes and skill order are all great, but the over all guide needs remodeling. walls of text = nobody caring to read them bro

I know, you wanted to get your Karthus guide to higher rank by downvoting my guide.... but your formal reason is really ridiculous. You seriously downvote my guide because there is a lot of text? You seriously downvote my guide because nobody caring to read? xDD
There is a lot of text because this is very complex guide. Everybody can read what he cares about there are chapters etc. Somebody might be interested in using spells, he can read it. Somebody else might want to know about some calculations about items, he can read it. Somebody might want to learn some tactic against some concrete mid opponent, he can find just him. Somebody might want to know about summoners spells for Karthus, he can read my experiences.... nobody needs to read it all.
If you want to downvote my guide because of your Karthus guide, think-out some better reason next time....

Good build. I play Karthus almost the same but Mejai. You say "if Karthus needs this item, it's discharged" but you can win the game cuz of Mejai when your team sux. But all other things are fine by me +1.
