Building the soulstealer is about as useful as hanging a sign on your back that says "Please focus me, I so want to die!". You're not going to be able to keep 20 stacks up, against competent opponents. It also provides less AP than the deathcap, since the deathcap's 30% bonus on top of its own 140 gives it an AP of 182 by itself (189 with
