Experience denial can be crucial, try to stay in lane as long as possible as by starting Boots + 4x Health Potion making you more capable of staying in lane for a longer amount of time.

To deny the enemy experience you can get your jungler to gank and either force a Flash or get a kill. When you kill the enemy champion, what you should do is push the minion wave to the turret and allow the minions to be killed by the turret, this denies the enemy a lot of experience and allows you to go for a recall and still have a advantage over the enemy.
