Greetings, this is a hybrid AP/AD Kayle build that I have in the works. With Kayle's ability to convert physical and magical damage into more damage via his passive ability, I have chosen to intermix both AP/AD items. Holy Fervor; (Innate): 30% of Kayle's attack damage is added to her ability power and 15% of Kayle's ability power is added to her attack damage. Now because of this and her ability to be ranged when attacking, and ultimate / healing, Kayle will rarely die in team fights and will be able to rack up many stacks on snowball type items, which is why I like to get "two" snowballing items: Mejai's Soulstealer & Sword of the Occult. =>

Summoner Spells

Exhaust provides the necessary tool to prevent enemies from escaping early on, thus creating a realistic opportunity for a First Blood! There's nothing more frustrating than an enemy getting away with less than 100 hit points! It also adds the additional protection you may need against a rival carry via the 3 second blind.

I seem to go back and forth with Ignite and Ghost, both offer a great ability to earn an early First Blood. You will have to decide for yourself which you prefer. I really like the defensibility and mobility ghost provides. Plus once your Righteous Fury is activated, proc ghost and chase your enemy down with your ranged attacks! Boom =)

Clarity really provides the necessary mana regen you will need to really dish out the damage, healing, and blessings early on. It also provides a nice little surprise to your enemies who may think your useless when oom. I highly recommend it due to how useful it really is. Also, it really helps anyone your laning with too.



(Active): Blasts a target, dealing magic damage and slowing its movement speed by 25% for 4 seconds. While the target is slowed, Kayle inflicts increased damage to the target.
Cooldown: 8 seconds
Range: 650
Cost: 80 / 85 / 90 / 95 / 100 Mana
Damage: 60 / 110 / 160 / 210 / 260 (+0.8 per Ability Power)
Increased Damage: 8 / 10 / 12 / 14 / 16%

This particular spell is her primary nuke/control ability. You want to initiate the fight with this ability, and as soon as you see it fly through the air proc your Righteous Fury and begin dropping your opponent down. Because it lowers their movement speed up to 25%, and increases the amount of damage they take from you, this ability really is nasty.


(Active): Blesses a target allied champion, healing them and increasing their movement speed by 12% for 10 seconds.
Cooldown: 10 seconds
Range: 1,200
Cost: 60 / 65 / 70 / 75 / 80 Mana
Healing: 65 / 100 / 135 / 170 / 205 (+0.5 per Ability Power)

This ability is very useful, now as the build showed I only get 1 point in it early and wait until the end of the game due to the fact that leveling it up doesn't really benefit you as much as the other abilities do. Now the best feature about this ability is that increases your movement speed. I spam this ability on myself to get around, along with popping it on an ally to rush in.


(Active): Kayle's attacks strike at range for base physical damage plus some extra magic damage. These attacks splash, dealing a percent of the damage to enemies near her target. This splash damage does not affect turrets. Lasts 10 seconds.
Cost: 65 Mana
Range: 650
Extra Damage: 4 / 10 / 16 / 22 / 28 (+0.3 per Ability Power)
Splash Damage Percentage: 20 / 25 / 30 / 35 / 40 %
Cooldown: 22 / 21 / 20 / 19 / 18 seconds

This really is the coolest ability of Kayle's. It makes all of her attacks ranged, do splash damage, and increases her damage by her ability power. The range is absolutely insane, and the coolest thing is you can not see its projectile, thus making it really easy to be sneaky and burst someone down.


(Active): Bathes Kayle's target in a holy light, rendering them immune to all damage for a few seconds.
Range: 1,200
Cost: 100 / 75 / 50 Mana
Cooldown: 90 / 75 / 60 seconds
Duration: 2 / 2.5 / 3 seconds

Her ultimate is a great tool, in my opinion only selfish players save it, and use it on themselves, I recommend using it on either your tank, or one of your carries. One of the best people to cast it on is Tryndamere. You wanna talk imbalance, watch what a good timed cast of Intervention, stacked with Tryndameres ultimate, and laugh while their team go squish. AGAIN, DO NOT SAVE THIS JUST FOR YOURSELF, use it on the person who is taking the most damage at the beginning of a fight to waste the first few seconds, giving your team the advantage.

Core Items

Item Breakdown

I have chosen Berserker's Greaves as my primary form of movement due to it's additional attack speed bonus. This really comes in handy, especially early on. The faster you attack, the more damage you do, the more farming you can do etc. With these boots & runes you'll hit 40% attack speed by level 6! Now in case your team is lacking defensive control, or if their team has a ton of "crowd control" go ahead and swap out for Mercury's Treads for the magic resistance and debuff reducer. (Gold Cost:920)

The Mejai's Soulstealer is the next item on the list to get. You will want to make an educated decision here, is your team doing well at this point, or is it falling behind. If your doing well, by all means get the Mejai's Soulstealer, if not get the Deathfire Grasp instead. The Mejai's Soulstealer provides an initial 20 Ability Power, and can add up to 180 total. Once reaching 20 stacks it also lowers your cooldowns by 15%. Kayle has an amazing ability for getting kills/assists without dying, so stacks are very easy to come by. Later on I will trade this in for a Deathfire Grasp merely for its ability power, cooldown reduction, and its nuking power!! DO NOT TRADE IN THE MEJAI'S SOULSTEALER IF YOU HAVE FULL STACKS ON IT!! (Gold Cost: 1235)

The Sword of the Occult is the next snowball item on the list to get. You will want to make an educated decision here, is your team doing well at this point, or is it falling behind. If your doing well, by all means get the Sword of the Occult, if not get the Black Cleaver instead. The Sword of the Occult provides an initial 10 Attack Damage, and can add up to 100 total. Once reaching 20 stacks it also provides a 15% movement speed increase. Later on I will trade this in for The Black Cleaver merely for its raw attack damage and its ability to lower your enemies armor. This really comes in handy in team fights when trying to focus down one of their carries.. Being ranged when your ability is actived really makes this item uber. DO NOT TRADE IN THE SWORD OF THE OCCULT IF YOU HAVE FULL STACKS ON IT!! (Gold Cost: 1369)

The Frozen Mallet is really hard to pass up. It adds soo much health, more damage, and combined with your Reckoning & Righteous Fury it makes it near impossible for an enemy to get away, and or get anywhere for that matter. You'll be surprised how helpful this item really is on Kayle! (Gold Cost: 3250)

Every Kayle build should include a Guinsoo's Rageblade for it adds Attack Damage, Ability Power, and Attack Speed. It really is an all in one item, and Kayle really benefits from it. According to stat value calculation, this item is THE most cost efficient item in the game, when you have all 8 stacks!! (Gold Cost: 2235)

Second to last, the Nashor's Tooth is how I like to bring things to a new level. This little baby adds an amazing amount of Attack Speed, more Ability Power, and yes lowers your Cooldowns by 25%!!!. What great way to add some finishing touches to this build, plus the cost isn't too bad either! (Gold Cost: 2465)

Suggested Teammates:

I highly recommend playing with some sort of tank with a good stun, aoe stun/slow, or taunt ability. Without having those types of abilities you will be focused down quickly due to your ability to dish out a lot of damage. The following below are examples of who you should try to group up! Ps. Amumu is by far the best teammate a Kayle can have! Also, making sure you have a deadly carry on your team is extremely neceasasary, for they will be the first target on your enemies list, and with Intervention you can pretty much guarantee they won't get your carry down before you take theirs down. =)

Suggested Tanks:

Amumu is awesome to team with, he can bandage in, and then aoe stun / aoe damage, as soon as he goes in, activate Righteous Fury, locate their carry, and send a Reckoning bomb and watch him/her drop! As soon as Amumu begins taking a lot of damage cast Intervention on him and rinse, repeat!

Suggested Carries:

Again an example of when & where to use your ultimate, as soon as twitch destealths and begins to Spray & Pray, you will immediately want to cast your ultimate "Intervention" on him, thus preventing any damage and or stuns from interrupting his ultimate, and or killing him.
