The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
- He can use all of his skills to deal a good amount of damage
- His ult can stun up to three players
- A good disturber in the game
- Stun lock
- Squishy early
- Needs a good supporting tank/players
- Useless when stunned.
Ignite : Hinders health regen and does small amount of dmg. Great for killing at the start and stopping tanks with insane regen.
Exhaust: 100% miss chance and slowing movement.
Cleanse is also a good choice for kennen to remove off stuns, pzn ect... great for a get away.
Good for Kennen for , a get away, a gank on health regen heavy char like mundo,
A chance for your allys to catch up when chasing.

Phantom Dancer (If you want to be really really annoying :P)
Wit's End (if you are playing against mages useless otherwise)
Doran's Blade - life steal and extra damage plus health to reduce squishiness.
Boots of Swiftness: Fast get away and attack in. A must for kennen.
Last Whisper: Faster attack speed makes use of dorans blade life steal, adds more dmg and armour pen.
Guinsoo's Rageblade: Gives damage bonus, and AP bonus, and attack speed.
Sword of the Divine: Making your 4th attack killer to the max (yah mark of storm and 100 extra dmg) Makes sure that you can hit jax and other high dodge characters.
The Bloodthirster: High damage, high life steal.
Optional one and the or ones.
Malady: Fast attack, alright life steal. Sell Doran's Blade if you need more slots.
The Black Cleaver: Dmg and plus giving a armour debuff on the attack .
Phantom Dancer: For Dodge Crit, Attack Speed and Movement.
Wit's End: To kill mages and attack speed.
Note: ITEM Build is circumstantial I find it better to have a B.F sword right after the Last Whisper sometimes.
I play both SR and TT. So, here is a basic guide,
First Item Doran's Blade (plus health pot) so you can stay on the field longer.
In first blood helps, I usually get assist or FB if I have a good team make up on TT.
Do not solo unless you are confident in your skill shots and it depends who else in solo lane.
At the start of laning phase I am generally able to push back 2 champs so they cant get gold and minimal exp. Dont always auto attack, try just last hit
minions; unless you are low health then use the life steal of the Doran's blade to your advantage.
When you can stand behind the opposition creep wave at the start to skill shot the Shuriken without interference. Level 3 is when you can do this effectively.
Remember the energy passive on getting stuns, so go, E (pass through minions, W stat them all, and Q a minion to get gold and energy back. This combo can be good if the enemy champ gets too greedy. (but stun the champ not a minion).
Note: You can cast summoner spells while in lightening rush.
Knowing what champ skills and the spells you are up against is very good to know.
Map awareness is a must.
You shouldn't have to go back till you have 1050+ gold. Means you can get your Recurve Bow. If you get more, then start the boots.
Once you have finished your first 2 items.
Pickaxe to start Guinsoo's Rageblade is a good idea, more dmg.
That or you can start building sword of divine.
Or a B.F Sword, which ever is needed.
The trick is to stun lock people with your Thundering Shuriken and Electrical Surge you can easily do it and passive. Now that you have a improved attack speed, you should easily do this.
Trick is to be able to stun before they can do anything. So charge up till your passive comes into effect, then Shuriken attack and surge.
Thundering Shuriken: Use it as harassing move and stacking marks, do not let the opposition farm gold. This skill shot is very useful at the start.
Electrical Surge: Gives extra, gives passive, adds extra dmg and mark of storm.
Lightning Rush: Good farming tool combined with Electrical Surge for minion waves. Good for excapes and rushing in when a fight has been started.
Slicing Maelstrom: Good for defence and offence. Can stun a group of champs with use of 2 other skills.
Runes: Attack speed and armour pen, good for start and end game. Normally puts you on the advantage with a good team.
Lock your passive, then hit the tower, the passive wont go, can be use on other buildings. Means more damage to the tower, and you can wait for a champ to try and defend it, and 3 storm marks are a shoe in.
Kennen is a disturber, so play him like he is one. He is squishy, so do not die. I.E Know when you are going to be ganked and run.
