You are both right , but I was focusing on early game when you are squishy.
Doran shield gives me great sustain until i get some other items.
Flash+Ignite is good, but heal saves your life if you get ganked (I do, a lot).
If i am top or bot i will max my q first. But when mid other ap carries are better farmers , so i need my w+e combo maxed first.
And lich bane is considered if i geet fed. If i have trouble i get either abissal scepter or void staff.

Try maxing Q bro. It's a lot stronger than either of your other abilities, gets a really low cooldown and a much more deadly poke in lane. You really only need 1 point in Lightning Rush anyway.

Not bad, but you need flash ignite, flash is so great esp. on kennen with clutch flash ults; heal is kinda useless with spell vamp anyway. Also, start boots 3, not Doran's shield, since you are going mid (vs magic damage). Also reconsider your masteries to be 21-9-0, getting the extra HP down the defense tree. Try out Potency quints too :3

Oh, and Lich Bane is decent, but you really do need some more magic pen; consider getting a void in it's place.

Just be patient. Never let your guard down vs Ahri. She will have an early game advantage, but by level 10 you will be stronger than her.
