SKAARL! I GOT THIS!
Against Heavy AD (Build Order)
Threats to Kled with this build
|Gangplank||GP really can't do too much against Kled. Although his poke with his barrels are intense, Kled can easily take him down.|
|Gnar||Gnar is basically a joke against Kled. All he can really do against you is AA and Q sometimes and jump away when you engage him. Easy lane.|
This is probably the most boring part of this guide, but whatever, i'm putting this here because reasons that are totally valid.
I'm TheGamingPolcan, I'm a Kled main and I run a YouTube channel, and post every here and there. Most people like going with the meta, and sticking to the reccomended builds for each champ, but i do so differently. I experiment different builds that could work or not, like, the great 50% crit kled, draven Jungle, AP Corki mid, etc. I don't play ranked often because i'm busy having fun.. and yeeah.
PASSIVE ~ Skaarl, the Cowardly Lizard
Kled rides his trusty steed, Skaarl, who takes damage for him. When Skaarl's health depletes, Kled dismounts.
While dismounted, Kled's abilities change and he deals less damage to champions. Kled can restore Skaarl's courage by fighting enemies. At maximum courage, Kled remounts with a portion of Skaarl's health.
Q ~ Bear Trap on a Rope
Kled throws a bear trap that damages and hooks an enemy champion. If shackled for a short duration, the target takes additional physical damage and is yanked toward Kled.
When dismounted, this ability is replaced by Pocket Pistol, a ranged gun blast that knocks back Kled and restores courage.
Kled throws a bear trap that deals 50/100/150/200/250 (+60% bonus Attack Damage) physical damage and hooks onto the first enemy champion or large monster hit. Deals 150% damage to minions passed through. If Kled stays near a hooked enemy for 1.75 seconds, he deals 50/100/150/200/250 (+60% bonus Attack Damage) physical damage, yanks the enemy toward him, and slows the enemy by 40/45/50/55/60% for 1.5 seconds.
Dismounted: Becomes Pocket Pistol, a ranged ability that restores courage.
W ~ Violent Tendencies
Kled gains massive attack speed for four attacks. The fourth attack deals more damage.
Passive: When Kled basic attacks, he frenzies, gaining 150% attack speed for four attacks or 4 seconds. Violent Tendencies then goes on cooldown. The fourth hit deals bonus physical damage equal to 20/30/40/50/60 plus 4/4.5/5/5.5/6% (+%) of the target's maximum health (maximum 200 vs monsters).
E ~ Jousting
Kled dashes, dealing 20/45/70/95/120 (+60% bonus Attack Damage) physical damage to enemies in his path. Cannot cross walls. If Jousting hits an enemy champion or large monster, Kled gains 50% movement speed for 1 second, and can reactivate this ability within 3 seconds to dash back through the same target, dealing the same damage. Cannot be used when Dismounted.
R ~ CHAAAAAAAAAARGE!
Kled charges toward a location, leaving a trail that grants allies increasing movement speed. While charging, Kled gains a shield that increases over time to a maximum of 200/300/400 (+300% bonus Attack Damage) and lasts for 2 seconds after the charge ends. Skaarl rams the first enemy champion encountered, dealing up to 12/15/18% of the target's maximum health as physical damage based on distance traveled.
Most of the time, you will start with the build given above in the guide. However, if you are going against an AP champ like Ekko, i'd get some MR first. Farm up with your Q, and AA, and try to get as many minions as you can with a single Q. Poke every here and there, and pay attention to any lanes or early team fights occurring in different lanes.
Don't be afraid to use you're ult to get out of a bad spot. The resistance to CC with your ult can be really good if you're low on Kled and about to lose Skaarl. Starting team fights with your ult is also really good, as the shield you get is insane. Focus the ADC's and stay on top of them on team fights, and pick them off if you see them farming bot every once in a while. Just try not to feed.
For those of you that don't know, here are some simple combos for Kled:
Q, Attach, E (Through), W Passive, E
Exhaust, W Passive, Q, AA.
If Exhaust is not available, Poking with Q until Courage is almost up, then all inning will do.
Always try and Ult where the enemy WILL be instead of their current location. For example, if someone is getting turret, ult so that the end of the ult will reach behind him/her.
Exhaust is really good on Kled. Not only is it good for getting Skaarl back, it's also great for catching up to champs. TP really isn't needed, because you can easily E and can also Ult to the front lines. Cleanse is only good when going against Vayne, ignite isn't too good, since you can stay on top of champs easily, Exhaust just makes it better.
