since the nerf of this item.. it is so useless late game. it only gives you like 750 damage which will last you about a second after you revive. you are better off buy a different magic resist item. as soon as i see someone with this item i know they are fresh meat.

the 750 health can last go a long way if you are playing a tank like Shen, Malphite or Rammus, or have a decent escape mechanism.

When used right with an AP caster, one of the best items in the game. You nuke up front in team fight, kill one, get focused and die, revive, throw more damage around, another probable kill, maybe actually die. Used right with veigar, annie, brand, u should be able to force 4v3s for the rest of ur team

stack Leviathan to full (gives out 15% bonus damage reduction), Warmog, MR and Armor items... you will not die and even if you die, you revive, tank about 5 seconds more for your team... then you get out alive STILL (therefore you dont lose your stack)

Great item if you are a hero that dies extremely easily. I like to play Ashe sometimes and she is one of the easiest heroes in the game to kill. Other than an Ultimate to stun, she has absolutely no defense or escape. 1 stun or snare and I'm dead if Flash isn't up. I found that grabbing this is quite a bargain. This has +armor, +resist, and the proc means a number of things. In Dominion it means I pop back up and shoot you off the cap.(Which might get you killed by the tower) In other games it means my team might have cleared the area by the time I revive. Enemy team zergs me, I die, they run away to avoid dying to my team, I res, they didn't get any gold. Get it? Or a fight might be going on and I die... get back up... then go back to shooting to help. I should also add that 750HP on a res isn't bad when your bar is 2k or less, that's basically a 750hp HEAL, which is more than what the spell "Heal" itself does. The summoner spell "Heal" is 590(Assuming you're lvl18) +10%(Assuming you have the talent)=649, 750>649. The Heal does hit your allies for half effect, but half of 649 is so little that it won't change any battle outcomes.

Bottom line is, if you die a lot, get this item.

With Malphite, I love getting this item mid game :)
