^That's like saying Zhonya is useless -.-

Well I guess a lot of people like Zhonya. I suppose it is good in some circumstance to escape a burst of damage if timed right. But Zhonya freezes your movement, and allows you to do no damage. I find other things would be more useful unless your fighting a Trynd who doesn't die for 5 seconds, you could activate Zhonya to wait out his timer, then finish him. But overall, I like other items better. But I'mma noob.

I prefer buying Warmog´s Armor, because it gives you 1000 hp (guardian angel gives you 50 armor, 30 mr and 750 hp heal every 5 min.) and it gives you prety cool health regen, (5s=1% from 2500=25;1s=5hp) about 300 hp per minute, 1500 hp per 5 minutes (in compare with Guardian angel). I am buying guardian only in final teamfights.
for michielexplosivo: it is almost useless only if you are playing champion without escape mechanisms, i am sometimes buying it on kha zix, and his E has saved my life (in combination with Guardian Angel) so many times....

Need late game to escape the 60+ second death timer. 2 people with this, even if they you kill you two first, both will respawn and either have to be focused again, or they will wreak havoc. Sometimes the enemy can't just stand near someone being revived, its still a teamfight.

Except that you can control when you use Zhonya and use it to prevent a ton of incoming damage (Nunu's ult, etc.), whereas this one can proc after getting ambushed and lead to you wasting it for an important fight. In a team fight this isn't very viable on a tank either because by the time you resurrect the rest of your team is scattered and/or dead. So unless you died like 2/3 or later through a winning fight they'll just kill you again when you rez (750hp is chump change end-game) unless you have some kind of escape plan, but if you did why didn't you use it before the first death? IMO this is good for squishy carries that get focused.

most people just wait untill you revive then they kill you again
so the effect is pretty useless late game :)

With Malphite, I love getting this item mid game :)

My build for him is usually:

Philosopher's Stone > Boots of Speed > Heart of Gold > Merc Treads > Glacial Shroud > Guardian Angel > blahblahblah

Really good for a tank ^^

Bottom line is, if you die a lot, get this item.

Mostly true, but there are some circumstances where other survivability items like Quicksilver Sash are more appropriate. If you're not careful, you might just end up dying twice with this item, and the passive has a very lengthy cooldown. It certainly is very helpful on bruisers and carries alike though.
