Soulstealer. Once again as stated by B00G its a very situational item. If your able to gnab those early kills and wanna grab it.. Go for it.. But I gaurantee you. If your EVER caught with your pants down. You gunna regret it. The good thing is you will get alot of assists and this will help keep those stacks.
For the last time: Boots are in the DAMN Description
This was done because boots once again for Kog Maw are very situational.
I have cleanse to get out of Slows and Posions, so I didnt take Merc, If you want Merc Boots. Cleanse might not be for you.
@Blacksoul: With my Quins of Movement, my Masteries, and my boots +3, Out Running some one isnt a problem TBH. Especially with the range of his Ult.
To olat: Hey after testing out soul stealer, i think it is solely situational... if you notice that you are able to score some easy kills in this game i recommend picking it up, otherwise go straight for archangels
also check out my build... im thinking of changing the rune setup tho... a speedy kog'maw is scary

I will change the items when i find some better suited end game ones. Lich seems a waste because im focusing on speed so much already but I dunno what else to get. Zhonya's is good because of the flat 25% increase in AP.
and if u get rid of the runes, change the mastery
also your item build is missing boots... as for the soulstealer i think its a must.. i find my self have 20 stack no prob... this char is able to stay far away from a fight and its unlikely a team will rush past tanks and dps to target the nuke, and if u get ganked its your own stupidity for not having enough map awareness
my item build is similar with the addition of soulstealer.. im still iffy on the liche or zhonya as the last.. usually i get liche is i need to run fast... if im doing fine i get zhonya for more dmg
also under your item build #2 u have catalyst list. i think u meant tear of goddess
as for summoner spells i think cleanse and clarity maybe a better suit
since your already at a high movement speed telemport seems waster.. clarity allows you to keep your team and your self filled with mana
The Item build is missing boots on purpose. If you read the Description, I explain why I didn't put boots in. I myself would go with +3. With that and Movement Quins, and masteries your character can out run most anything.
Im not worried about normal Champions killing Kog'Maw, 1 assassin with a stun can pretty much do him in. Ive been ganked by a semi fed Eve and gotten destroyed pretty quick. Even with cleanse, their stealth + blink is very deadly. Ill give it a try and see if Im able to get 20 stacks effectively.
Lich / Zhonya, I was thinking of changing those but I dont know what to.
Teleport spell is a preference I like to be able to teleport to a lane where minions are close to a tower and just help push it a fast as I can. Or if a lane needs help, I can just teleport to that lane.
Ive never used Clarity, I might give it a try. As I said im still lvl 16 so, Im learning as I go.
