One of the best Kog'Maw builds out there. Try it you will love it!
I'm dissappointed about kog maw players, cause this build is awesome, but ratings are bad... why ?? :(
They are going to rebuild "Tear of the godes" by removing increasing mana ability from it - you should rework your build then.
Im a little angry, Riot is making some weard moves with their patches. They are going to make new item which will have the increasing mana ability - i'm wondering what with Archangel staff, they are propably going to rework it either.... we'll see.

Your buid is good, but i made some modifications..... I'm buying Archangels stuff after Sorecers (mostly) then Lich Bane, then Whisper (or not if there is no armored champs), then Zhonya and secon Archangel. In your sequence build you put items in a different queue, than in your text so i dont know what build you are using, but mine is best for AP playing :) I sometimes buy Abyssal for flat Armor Penetration (which is mostly better than Void with % reducing) :)

Ah yeah, it usually depends on the game but my order is double fairy charm, 2 health pots, 1 mana pot, then tears and boots, and then arch angel or sheen. I will usually only build into lich after I have more AP than attack damage, because otherwise it doesn't really make much sense. I wasn't really paying attention when I chose the item order, I'll reorder it, thanks :).
Kog'Maw
* Caustic Spittle has been remade and now grants:
o Passive: increases attack Speed by 10/15/20/25/30%
o Active: deals 60/110/160/210/260 damage and reduces the target's armor by 5/10/15/20/25 for 4 seconds
* Bio-Arcane Barrage cooldown reduced to 15 from 20
* Void Ooze cooldown reduced to 12 from 13
Huge nerf to Caustic Spittle IMO (at least for this build). I'm not really sure what pushed Riot to make this change. I will need to update this build once I find a viable alternative to LW.

* Base attack range increased to 500 from 450.
* Caustic Spittle range increased to 625 from 600.
* Bio Arcane Barrage bonus range reduced to 130/160/190/220/250 from 140/180/220/260/300
Sizable buff but nothing game breaking. Current Kog'Maw tactics will continue to work and allow players to auto-attack from a greater distance. Caustic Spittle will be slightly more useful now, as it was a little too short ranged before IMO.
While Bio-Arcane barrage appears to have been nerfed, it's actually a buff when taking into account the base attack range increase.
I welcome the buffs as a Kog'Maw player, but feel that the issue with Kog'Maw isn't that he requires more buffs, but rather that people don't know how to play him.
edit: Oh and xin was nerfed... hopefully that will prevent people from crying about how OP he is.
