Review:

Not sure if your going to be updating this, but here goes.

Cheat Sheet:

Flat AP Seals suck, literally any other Primary Seal is better.

I'd take scaling AP or MR Glyphs instead of flat AP, they benefit you way more.

Don't like Dorans start, you WILL be camped against decent junglers.

Don't think buying a RoA is good at all. Your job is to use resets to pentakill the other team, there's no real reason you'd want to be extra tanky. Rylais is terrible as well. Lastly, being tankier =/= sustained.

Improved Flash and Runic Affinity in masteries please. Biscutteer is meh and extra mana doesn't help anyone except Ryze.

In the guide itself:

Runes: Explanations are alright for a short guide, I guess.

Masteries: Why is there an explanation on NOT taking Blue Buff here? Hell, why AREN'T you taking it? You'd use it better than any energy jungler because you can instaclear waves and roam.

Items:
"One of the most common mistakes I see on AP Master Yi, is the stacking of Doran's Rings."

You don't stack Dorans because you need the mana regen, nor is it a mistake. Double Dorans make you absurdly mana sustained in lane, and is great if you give Blue to your jungler or if you're behind.

"If the game lasts for over 60 minutes, and you have ALOT of money (Don't ever waste your money on elixirs with yi), Turn yourself into an AD Yi, as you will be more useful then with the incredible attack speed and damage. This is very situational, but I have won a few games by making this decision."

...what.

First of all, Elixirs, especially when you have full build, are never a waste of money. What else are you using it for?

Second, late game AP Yi > late game AD Yi. You're able to supply thousands of BURST magic damage and Medi-tank 5 people. What does AD Yi do? Kill a squishy at most then dies. Real useful.

Skill Sequence:
E at level 2 gives a LOT of burst. Just saying.

Summoner Spells:
Explanations here are a bit lacking. Teleport is certainly a viable choice, and is a lot better than Ghost for roaming.

Farming:
This section is alright. Maybe add a reminder to activate Wuju Style to last hit under turret.

A team fight or gameplay section would help a lot.

Overall, guide is borderline acceptable and doesn't really tell you that the author knows his ****. But I can't really downvote because it isn't all too bad...for a short guide.

Yeah, I edited the guide a little. I'm tired as hell, so I think that's enough of a tempfix for now.

Well I never enter a gank full on mana, and I sometimes need to re-cast my ultimate, sometimes I need to heal to tank the tower, etc... I've always found ganking without a blue very hard with Yi. It's barely ever a simple case of R Q Q.

All correct. Other than when you say you don't take the blue buff, I disagree with that. Yes, you have enough mana regen to sustain your harassment in-lane, but if you go gank bot while their jungler's ganking too, and end up getting 2 resets, you could not have enough mana to use the 3rd Q. In-lane blue isn't that necessary, but for ganks it's compulsory. And especially in team-fights, as your Q will cost more mana than you even have as base. :>

This is something you are very much able to argue about.
I've always found myself with enough mana to do the necessary R+Q+Q+Q+Q combo in teamfights by just the mana lich bane grants me.
Even if you do an early lvl 6 gank botlane, I believe the base mana exceeds 400, which is required for a hefty 3 Q's along with the ultimate.
I'm not 100% certain about the base mana, but after playing over 200 games of yi, I never saw this as a problem.
Taken as constructive critism, I should look into this more carefully.

C2V toggled, and rep given, lucorian :)

Okay, seems like I have to explain the RoA and rylai's, because you don't seem to get the idea.
When you go for AP Yi's sustain build, you are pretty much a first timer. Buying a catalyst eases farming, and allows you to do mistakes.
And about the blue buff?
I surely hope that you don't demand it when you're playing AP Yi, because if you do, oh god people must hate you.
Since when did he need mana regen or cdr?
He has a mana pool large enough to do 5 alpha strikes and a highlander, so why bother taking blue when someone else needs it more?
I'd like some constructive feedback not just "DIDN'T LIKE DAT THING DER, DOWNVOTE"
One thing that also made me think that you don't know what you're talking about... tankiness?
If Yi wants tank, he presses W.

Oh, one very important thing: TURN ON COMMENT TO VOTE!! Otherwise people will troll you pretty hard, in fact, I will actually upvote seeing as you got a downvote as I was writing the review.

roa and rylai's are not good no matter how much sustain you want, and really let's be honest here, you want tankiness not sustain, or you'd take zhonya's and spirit visage.

That wasn't enough to make me downvote, but hearing that you shouldn't take blue buff from jungler and how short this guide is sure did.

Thank You For Visiting Our Review Service!

Positives

  • Information is quite helpful
  • Overall knowledge of the champion is solid

Negatives or Possible Improvements

  • NEED to add more advanced coding, read this for help on how to do so
  • Add more chapters, and extend the ones you already have. Include match-ups, or warding, or how to use Master Yi properly in teamfights, or even all three!
  • End your guide properly, add a "Conclusion" chapter at the end to round off the guide, don't just suddenly end it after the "Farming" section
  • Get rid of your summoner spell icons that you have right in the middle of text, change into Ignite when its surrounded by text

Other Thoughts

I was actually pleseantly surprised by this overall; I think you really do know AP Yi very well and I am glad you have decided to take the time to share your knowledge with people to help them. In this I see the skeleton of what could potentially be a very good guide in the near future if you added a lot more coding, more chapters, and went more in-depth on a lot of things. Speaking of which, although your item build is good, you need to, in your Item section, explain WHY you choose each individual item, and some possible alternatives. People always want to know why they are being told to build something, and if it is really the best way to go. As I said, this is one of the more informative Master Yi guides for sure, and there is a spot in the top five waiting for you if you decide to put in the time to make it a top-notch guide. Good Luck!
