Greetings, this is my second attempt at
LeBlanc, the Deceiver. The title "Double the Trouble" is referring to the type of build this is. I have tried a variety of builds and I think a Hybrid AP/AD approach might be good with her.
I've noticed she has absolutely no problem bursting someone down, surviving the initial counter-attacks however, is a bit more tricky. I also noticed she has a difficult time doing anything productive after her initial burst, thus the AD side of the things. Another thing to note is the attack speed i'm trying to bring to the picture, she has a difficult time farming and I am hoping to rectify that with this.
Please note, I added an Optional Item List of items I feel are good on
LaBlanc. I realize everyone's play-style varies a bit, some might prefer being more of a glass canon, while others prefer the tankier side of life. Feel free to swap an item out here and there.
Ability Power: 500+ (With , Archmage's Savvy, and )
Attack Damage: 200+ (With )
Magic Penetration: 15%
Attack Speed: 100% (With )
Cooldown Reduction: 38% (With )
Movement Speed: 440
Armor Damage Reduction: 47% (With Tenacity)
Magic Resist Reduction: 41% (With Tenacity)
Health: 3000 (With )
Health Per 5: 76pts (With Strength of Spirit)
Mana Per 5: 44pts
I decided to go with enhanced Exhaust as my first summoner spell. With all the mobility she has, being able to reduce their armor, magic resistance, and their movement speed really seems like a great tool to add to her arsenal. With Exhaust, no one get's away. Another huge plus is the blind for 3 seconds, in a 1vs1, this really comes in handy, especially against AD carries, while your waiting for your cooldowns to pop,
For my second summoner spell I chose Flash, what better way to add even more chaos, more confusion, and more utility to this build. I truly love how mobile she really is. Your enemies won't know whats going on! =)
[MIRROR IMAGE](Innate): When LeBlanc is brought below 40% health, she instantly becomes stealthed for half a second. When the stealth fades, she creates a Mirror Image that deals no damage and lasts for up to 8 seconds. This can only occur once per minute. It appears with the same life as LeBlanc had when it triggered.
Her passive ability really is something unique. Combined with items like Boots of Swiftness, or summoner spells like Flash, her passive provides the perfect escape. As soon as you drop below 40% you vanish, creating a clone, thus giving you a chance to get away.
sigil of silence
[SIGIL OF SILENCE](Active): LeBlanc projects an orb towards her target, dealing magic damage and marking the target for 3.5 seconds. If the target takes damage from one of Leblanc's abilities, the mark will trigger, dealing damage and silencing the target for 2 seconds.
Cooldown: 6 seconds
Cost: 70 / 75 / 80 / 85 / 90 Mana
Initial Magic Damage: 70 / 110 / 150 / 190 / 230 (+0.6 per Ability Power)
Secondary Magic Damage: 20 / 40 / 60 / 80 / 100 (+0.3 per Ability Power)
This should be your primary offensive ability. The trick here is to combine it with your other spells to silence your opponent. If done correctly you can blink in, sigil of silencenuke, ultimate (re-nuke), and blink out. Boom your opponent just took a huge amount of damage within 3 seconds and your already on your way out.
[DISTORTION](Active): LeBlanc rapidly moves to a target location, dealing magic damage to nearby units. In the following 3 seconds, she can activate Distortion again to return to her starting location.
Area of Effect:
Cooldown: 20 / 18 / 16 / 14 / 12 seconds
Cost: 80 / 90 / 100 / 110 / 120 Mana
Magic Damage: 85 / 125 / 165 / 205 / 245 (+0.6 per Ability Power)
This ability is one of those all in one types of abilities. It provides "Area Effect Damage" great for farming, a great escape tool, a great catch your opponent tool, and a whole lot of damage! When combined with your Ultimate & Flash, your opponents won't have a clue whats going on!
[ETHEREAL CHAINS](Active): LeBlanc flings illusionary chains towards a target location. If it hits an enemy unit, it will deal initial magic damage and slow their movement speed by 25%. If the target remains shackled for 2 seconds, the target takes additional magic damage and is unable to move for few seconds.
Cost: 80 Mana
Cooldown: 10 seconds
Initial Magic Damage: 40 / 65 / 90 / 115 / 140 (+0.4 per Ability Power)
Delayed Magic Damage: 40 / 65 / 90 / 115 / 140 (0.4 per Ability Power)
Snare: 1 / 1.25 / 1.5 / 1.75 / 2 seconds
This is a great "skill shot" type ability that initially does some damage and slows your target, however, can then snare them. You really are the perfect assassin with an ability like this one.
[MIMIC](Active): LeBlanc can cast the previous spell she cast. The mimicked spell deals significantly increased damage.
Cooldown: 40 seconds
Cost: 100 / 50 / 0 Mana
Damage Increase: 10 / 25 / 40%
There are endless counts of ways to use her Ultimate. Each situation can provide a different use. You can double up your sigil of silencenuke for a massive nuke, you can double up your blink for double blink and double AOE damage, or you can double up your chains to seriously snare your opponent. Or you can just make up your own combos to win every situation! =)
+60 Ability Power
PASSIVE: Your Champion gains 18 Health, 20 Mana, and 2 Ability Power every 1 min. Bonuses cap at +180 Health, +200 Mana, and +20 Ability Power.
(Gold Cost: 3035)
I like to rush Rod of Ages for it's amazing amount of health, ability power, and mana. Later on this will come in handy combined with your mastery, Strength of Spirit which heals you based on how much mana you have.
Enhanced Movement 3.
(Gold Cost: 1000)
Now typically most people like to get Sorcerer's Shoes with lablancLeBlanc, and I don't disagree that is normally the best choice here, however, with how much mobility and deception she has, she really can make good use of the Boots of Swiftness, granting her an untouchable amount of movement after Flashing, or using Distortion.
+35 Attack Damage
+45 Ability Power
PASSIVE: On attack, increases your Attack Speed by 4% and Ability Power by 6. Lasts 5 seconds (stacks up to 8 times).
(Gold Cost: 2235)
I have found the Guinsoo Rageblade to be absolutely amazing on LaBlanc, acknowledging how her abilities work, your basic combo gives you 4 stacks initially, thus boosting your attack speed, and ability power. This little toy is awesome on her!
+60 Attack Damage
+75 Ability Power
+15% Life Steal
+13% Spell Vamp
Active UNIQUE: Deals 300 magic damage and slows the target champion by 50% for 3 seconds (700 range). 60 second cooldown.
(Gold Cost: 3625)
The Hextech Gunblade is a sick little toy on lablancLaBlanc, why you ask, well as I mentioned earlier she really has a difficult time surviving other attacks, so the lifesteal and spell vamp really help keep her health at higher levels. Now the awesomeness of this item are it's stats and passive ability, as seen above it provides a ton of damage, ability power and a nuke/snare ability to add to your arsenal.
+50% Attack Speed
+55 Ability Power
+10 Mana Regen/5 sec.
UNIQUE: 25% Cooldown Reduction
(Gold Cost: 2885)
Now you might be asking, why on earth would anyone get a Nashor's Tooth on lablancLaBlanc?! Will to put it simply, the ability power, mana regen are helpful, and in all honesty so is the attack speed, especially combined with the Lich Bane. But the kicker is, how easy it is to build, and how much it lowers your cooldowns by. 25% is HUGE, especially in the hands of lablancLaBlanc. Do not pass this item up!
+80 Ability Power
+30 Magic Resistance
+7% Movement Speed
UNIQUE: When you use an ability, your next physical attack deals an additional 100% of your Ability Power in damage. This effect has a 2 second cooldown.
[/color](Gold Cost: 3470)
The Lich Bane is the best way to finish this build. No other item compliments her the same way. Just be reading the description above you should be starting to see a picture form. You blink in, dish out a ton of damage, and then auto attack for 600-800 dmg, how on earth could you possibly pass this up? After trying her you should know that her 3 hit combo is nasty, but she ends up having to auto attack occasionally to get the final blow. Oh plus this makes pushing towers soo much easier. Please do not pass this, or Sheen up!
