Thanks for the guide. Before I would just spam Rabadons and be able to hit 4 champions for half their health. Then after that I had nothing to help me anymore and couldn't get the kills. It was effective for scaring people away form my base though. Oh and killing minions.

@ imevilstoplaughing

Get some magic pen and that mr is useless. (Nice name btw, one of my all-time favorite champ quotes)

@ Darkseko

I haven't included either a fifth or a sixth item in my build (you sell the doran's ring lategame) because I don't want to be telling people "Do this or die". I also haven't gotten a chance to test most lategame items because most games I play either end with one team crushing the other or a team surrendering.

i like ap yi really. Its fun to play and i generally hate pure rightclick champs. Nice guide good explaining +1 from me but i think you should ad 6th item in your core build or add 1-2 more builds and explain their situations.

Good Job And Please Check My Guide :)

i once tested this AP vs AD Yi, both early and end game AD Yi lived and AP died... AD can still chase with Ult, and deals crazy crit strikes at late... AP Yi has a burst, but really, get some MR and he's useless... i mean seriously, ive seen AP Yi's in both dominion and summoners rift, and ive never seen one with a positive score... always 2/9/3 or around it...

I didn't mean to include information you most likely already know to patronize you; I meant to recommend inputting that information (which I'm sure you use already) into the guide.

No problem. I specifically asked people to correct me.

I would recommend using a more burst build, as well as taking advantage of your full base damage with items like Sorcerer's Shoes and Void Staff, and trying to cast your Alpha Strike more than once in a fight by getting CDR. Deathfire Grasp is an excellent item for an addition tool in your belt, as it has an active that benefits (like your Strike does) from magic penetration, so I totally approve there.

Agreed. I already have Sorceror's shoes and max cooldown reduction (cheat sheet doesn't include mastery cooldown redux, but I have 39%). I know that I did discuss other boot choices, but I personally I always go for sorcs. I want to show alternate choices in my build. As for void staff....I haven't had a chance to test late game itemization because I usually win the game before I get past deathfire. Likely you are correct about void staff.

If I were you, I would ignore Wuju Style entirely until you have nothing else to level, focus on Alpha Strike over Meditate over your ultimate over Wuju Style. I know not getting your ultimate sounds crazy, but I've found it really isn't that helpful when going AP.

I still think that one point of wuju style is good for quicker tower destroy, but whatever. I see your point about the ult though. The movement speed doesn't scale, so rank 1 may be good enough. I'd still have at least 1 rank, for escaping.

A normal rotation when going AP Master Yi is Deathfire Grasp, Alpha Strike, melee hit (Lich Bane), Meditate tank for five seconds, use Alpha Strike again and the fight's over.

I realized this morning that I didn't include much real gameplay advice, I'll be adding that soon. In total agreement with your rotation, except that Meditate can be interrupted by a cc and has a long cooldown (and most champs have at least 1 cc). If you are going in solo against a non-cc champ, then by all means use meditate (I find it particularly funny against other people who are playing master yi) , but I wouldn't want to use it, have it interrupted and then need it later.
