Introduction
This video shows what i meant with cooldowns are your worst enemy. I suggest watching from 4:00 till 4.30.
Notice his damage output is nice, but the cooldowns are around 10 seconds for drain and fear. 10 seconds is a time you do not have in dominion, you need to bring that down to 6,6 seconds, which is doable for a good fiddlestick.
There is some debate on the use of the utility tree, i still prefere it over 9/21/0, because of the cooldown reduction. As a mage with high cooldowns you want to MINIMISE your cooldowns as much as possible because fights will be fast and hard, so no time to sit and wait for a spell to refresh of it`s cooldown
Okej, in my last builds i usually posted just the spells with their cooldowns, damage, etc. I decided to take different approach on this one and give a spell breakdown on what they do and how they funtion.
Dread
(Innate): Nearby enemies have their magic resistance reduced by 10. (1000 range)
Wickidly nice, stacks with Magic Penetrations and gives ap build teams an extra kick
Terrify
(Active): Strikes a target unit with fear, preventing it from taking any actions and causing it to run about aimlessly in fear for the duration of the fear.
This spell is what you need. You have to skill this as fast as possible, the 3 second fear are a must to thrive in dominion. Think CC >> damage
Range: 575
Cost: 65 / 75 / 85 / 95 / 105 mana
Cooldown: 15 / 14 / 13 / 12 / 11 seconds
(reduced 23% with masteries, another 20% with evil tome (11x.77x.80= 6,7 seconds) getting frozen heart instead of last rabadons, you will make that about 5 seconds...)
Duration: 1 / 1.5 / 2 / 2.5 / 3 seconds
Drain
(Active): Fiddlesticks channels and leashes to a target for 5 seconds, dealing magic damage each second and healing himself for a percentage of the damage done. If the target leaves the range of Fiddlesticks leash, he will stop channeling. â– Cast Range: 475
Leash Range 650
Cost: 80 / 90 / 100 / 110 / 120 mana
Cooldown: 10 / 9 / 8 / 7 / 6 seconds
Magic Damage Per Second: 60 / 90 / 120 / 150 / 180 (+0.45 per ability power)
Damage Dealt To Heal Ratio: 60 / 65 / 70 / 75 / 80 %
Dark Wind
(Active): Fiddlesticks throws a crow that strikes an enemy target then continues to bounce from that enemy unit to another nearby enemy unit 4 times dealing magic damage and silencing for 1.2 seconds each strike. Dark Wind may strike the same target multiple times.
Range: 750
Cost: 50 / 70 / 90 / 110 / 130 mana
Cooldown: 15 / 14 / 13 / 12 / 11 seconds
Magic Damage Per Bounce: 65 / 85 / 105 / 125 / 145 (+0.45 per ability power)
Crowstorm
(Active): Fiddlesticks targets a nearby location and then channels for 1.5 seconds. After the channel, he then flashes to the target location with a murder of crows flying wildly around him for 5 seconds, dealing magic damage to all enemy units in the area each second. Teleport Range: 800
Radius of AoE: 600
Cost: 150 / 200 / 250 mana
Cooldown: 150 / 140 / 130 seconds
Magic Damage Per Second: 125 / 225 / 325 (+0.45 per ability power)

With the knowledge provided above there are two items that are the core of his build.
First the shoes, obviously CD red.
Than morello`s evil tome: it is highly under rated, but it gives GREAT AP, cooldown red and mana regen for its gold. It`s only 2300 gold so it gives you really early game more spellcasts with higher damage.
next you will want to stay alive and still up your damage, the hourglass is really essential in a good fiddles, for it allows his ulti to tick longer when diving a whole team (which you want to do at some point). Do this, silence enemies and dive in 2 sec stasis at least nukes the enemies to very low before they insta kill you.
The extra armor is also good, since you will need 100 armor per 1000 health on a mage (and 80 MR, but that is for last)
So now you have those items, but enemies get out and you die fairly fast.
ryjails scepter is the answer.
Now you have better health/ armor ratio, nice damage and great survivability with fear, silence and the stasis... but you lack Damage.
Rabadon should solve this problem.
Lastly you could get MR and always use more damage.
So abyssal scepter is the answer.

Max out fear.
On classic i often wait with this for the last, but on dominion the 3 second fear is often what gives your team to kill that one enemy that is a pain in the butt. Use this wisely and win the game upon it. If they have only 1 good AD, than fear and nuke him first. Or fear him and kill the others first. If they have 1 great tanl/hybrid, fear him and kill the weakest enemies. Fear is the answer.
Skill drain after that, since you will be needing the lifesteal and sustained damage.
Dark wind is good for silence, but it`s upgraded damage isn`t what it used to be. Skill this the last. 1 is enough. The cooldown is high, the damage isn`t great and it`s silence is good enough from level 1, enough said.
Ultimate obviously as fast as possible. 6/11/16

mobility over all. flash is for fiddles one of the only good spells. I mean, fiddlestick is one of the few champs that still really benefits from it. It allows for better ulti placement, which is most of the time crucial to kill enemies. Ult, flash, statis, with ryjals often creates the death trap you need to bring the enemy to it`s knees.
Fiddlestick is weak and has high cooldowns to begin with. He needs a companion that *draws attantion and takes the heat*.
Solo he can only be nice with ult and surprising from bush, face to face he will not make it on his fear-drain combo against most champions.
He is a nice tool to use against heavy armor builded teams and well played he can still be quite fun.

I hoped this build helped you guys out. I know it is a change from classic, where people like to stack AP with soulstealers and Rabadons. you dont have this freedom in dominion, you have to rely on long and often fears and team support. SO yea, i hope you guys can make the switch, maybe post some more builds out there, i would like to see more options myself too,
Have fun gaming and good health,
